Some of the most fun i have had is drunk Halo over xb-live. Nothing like coming home from the bar and taking out that drunk frustration on some punks up past their bed time. I've got to the point where i dont even hold the controler, i just sit back with the mike and a beer and do my best to teach the kids to curse like saliors.
Any sugguestions as to actual game demos that will work with this? The little render demos that come with this are nice and all, but its preformance with a real world game would be nice.
well, since summer hit here my solution to keeping my processor cool has been to take off the side of the case and point a box fan on high at it, knocks 15-20 degrees off its temp.
As has been pointed out in TFA and some other posts, the problem of class balance shows up when a PvE turns into PvP. EQ, SWG, WoW, DAoC, CoH, et al were designed as PvE games from the start, with class skills designed to mesh together to fight large groups that just stand around and take damage.
Guild Wars was built from the ground up to be a small team (4v4-8v8v8v8) PvP game, and the classes were designed as such. There is nothing coming close to an uber build GW, there is always an easy counter to a technique. Rangers and Mesmers stop heals and damage spikes from Elementalist and Monks, Warriors hunt down the Rangers/Mesmers, Eles and Warriors damage the Warriors while the Monks try to keep everyone alive.
Once the PvP was balanced out the same classes were put into the PvE game against enemey MOBs that have the same skills as the players.
The problem of class balance in other games shows up when a charater spec for PvE is shoehorned into a PvP role where many of their skills end up being either useless or far too powerful.
Add in Arenanet's commitment to eleminating the grind in any from and weekly patches to cut down on farming and exploits of the PvE game while maintaining an even playing field in PvP and you have a winner.
A good PvP game can be a good PvE game as well, but a PvE game can never do PvP fairly.
Now go join my guild, The Lazy Eights [LZY], in game name Sinderalla Ocool.

Three days of trying Thirsty River with crappy pick up groups is leading me to swear off Guild Wars forever.

well, be glad that you could get it to start, downloaded and installed it smoothly, then when i try to start the program, it launches up firefox and asks for a bug report. archy has been humanely deleted.
Cute young lady walks up to you. "Oh hi, your cute. Can I get your pone number? Great, hold my drink while I write it down." She goes home pulls your print from the cup, makes a false fingertip. You get cleaned out.
Actualy, reguarding illegal aliens and the like we have one of, if not the, fastest growing Hispanic populations in the country, and a good number of those are of course illegals. They come here to work the fields of tobacco and soy, and to hang around the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Here in North Carolina you have to have proof of auto insurance in order to get a driver license. You are right that the majority of states do not have this requirement. I belive that it is a racket that the insurace companies have in order to force you to insure a shared family car two (or three or four) times over. I had a friend in high school who got a Virginia license to avoid paying collision twice on her fathers car (her mother lived just across the state line).
I for one think that the prices are far too high all ready, ~$50 for the boxed cd and a free month of the game, then another $15 a month to play? I have tried all the free trials of these games and have yet to see one that is worth more that $5 a month, maybe $30 for the boxed game and a free month. For $25 dollars you can pick up a copy of BF:42 or NWN and play on 64 player servers, hell for free you can download Wolfenstien:ET and play to your hearts content and get 10 times more interaction and gameplay than EQ. Sadly as long as powergamers and empty souls are willing to pay $15 a month to play with little virtual dolls, i doubt that the prices of these games will be brought under control.
Looks like some one has been reading A Gift From Earth. Old men with baby teeth, that just freaks me out. It would be the Brits to start doing this though.
Something i have noticed, is that a lot of people don't know how to change the position and size of the monitor image. I strech it out to the very edge of the screen, but everyone else leaves it at the monitors default with these big black boarders surounding their desktop. Why doesn't anyone else?
I have all ways wanted a Zombie MMOG. People get to play survivors, group into clans to defend buildings from the hordes of undead. The great thing about this is it gets rid of camping because the MOBs come to you.
Nah, let your asteroid get caught in orbit, something about the size of our moon. Not only could it rip off some atmosphere one would think that it could help up the rotation of Venus and shorten the days.

no, but being psycopathic helps because you would never feel bad about all those underlings you crush on your way to the top.

you could atleast spell it right, after all the discussion about it yesterday when this story was posted first.
But good games sell consoles too. Soul Calibur was reason enough for me to buy a Dreamcast on the first day.

Hey, I use eat@joes.com too, as do a few people I know.
Wonder if it is still active and how many thousands of spam messages it gets per day.
Now if we could only get Billy G. on the Longhorn boxcover.

I think the problem is that not even the physicist really know what to do with this.
That and it is Monday morning and the trolls haven't climbed out of their caves.
