Images are the greatest thing ever. My work uses Altiris Deployment Server, and a Mac lab setup simliarly with ARD, and it saves so much time. Everything is saved to the network, so no more endless hours of trying to fix some small stupid error.
For extra awesomess, have Driveshield in the image and automated shutdown/restarts. Its like having a new machine everytime your users logon.
Well, most of it just seems mostly realistic, but possibly not in 10 years time. By then, I would guess most of this tech will be availble, but probably not to most mid level consumers.
And, possibly, some people aren't going to want that much tech in their life. I mean, there are still those people who don't really like this whole "computer" thing.
And, I don't know about the self driving e-car. While it would be cool, it seems that it would genereate too many problems that would need to be worked out, and probably not in 10 years. Do you build new roads? Start off with one elane on the highway? What about rural areas? If there is a totally converted road, could an "analog" car still be allowed to drive on it? And who is going to maintain that? Goverment regulations with private contractors? so on and so forth.
And, I don't know that I want my watch to run everything. No mater how much you cram into it, to keep it watch sized, it still needs to have a small screen. I've been looking at the SPOT watches, and while they are pretty cool little gadget, nothing screams geek more than this huge hunking piece on your wrist. I would prefer more of a small PDA-ish device, to do such tasks, and using the watch as a secondary device to scroll alerts or incoming calls across, instead of doing everything
it'd better work well 1st time around, cause otherwise they're gonna have a mob on their hands, considering how long this has taken, espically since its only for two palms.
They are getting totally slammed with IE scew ups in the past few weeks. theres at least one big thing each week. But I guess when you hold the market share and people still design their sites for your browser over everyone elses and so on, you can pretty much do what you want.
itll be cool if it works. seems something like this could be where the future of cellphones would be going, with the expansion of WiFi being what it is. And if they can make batteries that last.
The 1st time I searched for "switching to linux", it didn't turn anything up. And every couple of searchs times it times out of dosen't find anything. and its really slow.
Im sure they are really gonna win over alot of people with a search like this.
Ok, so I know this has probably been stated, but for my own sake of mind, I can get 4 gigs for $250. Or I can spend another $50 and get 15 gigs. What the hell kind of sense does that make?
its stuff like this that makes me scared of geting old.
You abandon reason when you get old? I understand that he thinks differenly and may be more trusting, came from a simple era, etc, but still, thats no reason not to have common sense.

but whats the point? And what about the Netscape dialup service? Did they launch that?
but its gonna suck the 1st time it breaks in mid-stride and sends you crashing into your rendering farm for the VR.
this guy has a pretty good side by side comparison of a Treo 600 and 1st gen side kick.
thats awfully nice of him. thanks buddy.
got it on my n-gage qd. works well, other than the real video clips need to be very small quality. but regardless, i have video on my phone.

although not the result of disease, this dog can also walk upright.
whats so great/new about this. You can get OS-less PowerEdge 400SC starting around $250(with instant and send-in rebates).
but is there wifi and will my powerbook work up there?
yeah, i think it takes like 8-10 weeks to get the rebate back
