  1. I don't think so... on Pew Study Says RIAA Tactics Are Working · · Score: 1

The real reason that P2P sharing is down is simply because we have most of the music we want now. We're done getting those hits from the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Now we just have to get the small amount of good stuff to keep up. Once people's collections are complete the P2P will slow to a trickle. :)

  4. Re:... huh? on Open Source Firm Releases Patch for IE Bug [UPDATED] · · Score: 1

I disagree. WIth Microsoft's hatered of open source they won't be able to actually link to this patch in any KB article or offer it as a part of Windows Update. So, as far as Microsoft is converned, I bget this patch doesn't exist. They still have ot "fix" it now.

  5. Re:Are you an RIAA spokesperson? on Kazaa-lite Shut Down · · Score: 1

Create a union and go on strike. Start reaping the benefits that your industry creates! Ha. I'm sure the RIAA would really stand to let this happen. Nice idea, but monopolies don't *have* to deal with unions. At least this one won't.

  8. Re:Buck Fush: +1, Patriotic on Fox Considering a Return of "Family Guy" · · Score: 1

Actually, the important question is (was) "will they ever bring back Family Guy". Now that that one's been answered we can move on to the less important question like the one you mentioned.

  9. Re:FOX = morons on Fox Considering a Return of "Family Guy" · · Score: 1

I think Fox was really the late bloomer. The fact that they're fixing their problem (of canceling FG in the first place) shows they have some sense in them.

I think the hamster just fell off the wheel. Now that it's back on they seem to be fixing their mistakes.

Look at the replies this story is getting on slashdot. That might help you realize that Family Guy really is "stuff that matters".

You think most people give a fuck about SCO anymore?

Yeah but for the millions of us with ADD there is no better way to take advantage of the affliction than by watching Family Guy. I never thought I'd say this, but Fox rules.

  13. Re:Practical Application on Single Speaker Unit Delivers Surround Sound · · Score: 2, Insightful

I realize that your post was in jest, but with different and smaller speakers the 6 feet distance would drop. I'm not *quite* what you'd call an expert at this sort of stuff, but that's how I understand it to work. So, for far less than $800 they could put cheaper, smaller speakers in a handheld and have a very nice product.

(Deep sigh.) Yes you can. I did it at work since I had a Yahoo work ID and a personal Yahoo ID. Try it. IT asks you which account you want to send from, though (kinda annoying), but YES it DOES support multiple connections the the SAME service. The only exception is that MSN does weird things, so it tells you to do that at your own peril.
