I heard that eMagic/Apple previewed for a couple of people the next generation of Logic aka Logic 7. Sounds interesting indeed, but I can't find any information on what the presentation might have had. Anybody got any luck?
Because they're so unsafe. What if my harddrive crashes and my CD backup gets lost? Then all my photos from years of my life have vanished without a trace. It scares me just thinking about it.
This is not a company that's gone good all of a sudden, they're just doing this because they know that this will make you guys buy iRivers instead of iPods. Where were they when I wanted my Rio 500 firmwire update to the Mac? Nowhere. Rio didn't care jack about me who spent money on their product at all. Good luck guys...
It'd be even worse if people modded you down because you were telling the truth. Luckily enough it didn't happen to you now, but it's done that to me. Annoying.
I'm not going to check the website since I don't want anything to be spoiled. But I'm wondering about one thing: Does it give an answer why certain Jedi's fade away when they die and why other don't?
Or is this simply a step closer to an Orwellian society, where the State knows where we all are?
Am I the only one that's getting tired of these comments? What Slashdotters need to do is to seperate fiction from facts and weed out the conspiracies. Preaching death of the world we know it is fun and all, but every little thing in the news isn't a sign of it. Calm down, guys. Okay?
The internet has already started to show it's power to fundamentally change everything that has to do with our society. All the media middlemen will vanish now when we all have direct connect possibilites with each other. The Record Companies will die since iTunes Music Store's don't really give them an job to do at all -- all you need is a computer and you can buy music out of the box. That we're losing another middleman here, the telephone company, is nothing suprising since communicating through the computer is just another form of media.
According to John Titor, a mysterious being that appeared on the internet years ago, claiming that an American civil war is about to happen and the first signs will be appearant during the 2004 election. He said that the war was with the rural areas versus the city areas, and to see where we would be safe from nuclear holocaust we could just look at the map of the 2000 election -- constantly giving hints in his meanings that it's left versus right.
Is it a crazy maniac, a real time travele, or a guy that actually might've hoaxed something that might become a reality? Scary thoughts though.
When I was in Asia over a year ago I bought a couple of them... Guess what? Turned out that more than one of them had very adult material in them. However, it was interesting nevertheless to see how they differ from us when it comes to taste in gaming. The biggest hits in '99 such as Unreal Tournament or Quake 3 might just've been as popular as a certain tentacle rape games in Japan (sorry, I just had to cram in "tentacle rape" somewhere in this post...)
I've only played a couple of English translated dating games, and they were also adult oriented. Kind of sad since I'd like to see these type of weird genres become more popular here for the sake of stirring things up in the market. We're too stuck in the moment where everybody wants bullet time, realistic physics and graphics with heavy guns and big, powerful explotions.
The Sims is a fresh breath of air, very revolutionary too. But... There's just too little experimentation these days in the market. Which is really sad. Oh well.... Maybe some day we'll see a company spawn a growing market of translated japanese dating sims. For once I'd like to play one without it ending up having sex with the girl in the end (and no tentacles!).
If their Task-based Interace resembles anything remotely to their Help agent in Microsoft XP I'll go nuts. I've never found any use for it and it never gives me the right answers and explanations I want (even though I absolutely make sure I've tried every possible combination of answers).
This kind of sounds dumb... But why don't airplane simulation companies do this with the earth and combind it with a highly detailed pictures of the earth to construct the ultimat map?
Democracy works differently in different countries. In certain countries you're forced to vote in an election, but in other countries you can exercice your democratic right by not voting at all.
Screw you. We invented the internet: It's one of the history's most revolutionary inventions since the wheel.
Why haven't we heard Will Wright say anything about this? How come his mouth is so tight-lipped?

If you're going to bootleg something, why not bootleg something popular? The N-Gage arguably isn't exactly the most popular thing on the market...
What happened to the goons that were supposed to hush this under the rug? They failed?
Darn! Why hasn't that info been leaked? Oh well, thanks anyway ;)

I could've done a voodoo joke here, but then it struck me that fighting racism with prejudice isn't funny.

"Let's get angry and throw tomatoes at the United States Government!
Psst! By the way, buy this while you're at it..."
It wouldn't suprise me if the poster works for Perfectimagemarketing.com. What's better marketing than posting through Slashdot?
Democracy works?
Actually, I have one for the game boy too. I've played it a bit and had no sex. But then there's the thing with that I don't know Japanese...

"It's like buying a whole new Mac for only $129"
:-)
Man... When I hear that I just fall on to my knees with laughter. Worse though is that with Panther, it's basically true!
Anyone have any idea why the worlds biggest and worlds most influental company forgot to pay a simple check?
Thanks for the info!

It's all in the eye of the beholder.
First, if you live in a 'democracy', you are not in the United States. We're a republic here.
Last time I checked we had an election where the majority decides?
Second, being a 'democracy' gives nobody rights to anything.
Of course not. Iraq claimed to be a democracy. They only had one political party and you got shot if you voted otherwise.
I think you know what I am talking about... You're just being a snobby anonymous coward about it.
