Well, this is what I have at home currently: A Windows XP box, with VMWare player loaded with Kubuntu. I am not a Linux geek, so I have the VMWare player to learn linux without screwing with my host OS. And since Windows is the host OS I can still play all the games I want.
Now you can do it the opposite. Have linux be your host OS and install Windows in a VM session. As for apps, your VM sessions can see any cds that you put in your CD drive, so installing applications is a snap.
Our corporation has been using VMWare Server ESX for the past 2 years and it is great. Instead of having 5 servers in a rack, you can buy 1 beefy server and just have everything in a VM. But lets say your servers are mission critical and you are worried about a hardware failure on that 1 server. If you use VMotion you can have redundant servers, so if your main VMWare server box fails, the 2nd backup VMWare server automatically picks up where the other left off, you dont even notice that the virtual machine switched servers - it works that good.
Seriously, VMWare is awesome.
All teens? Even ones who are 18 and 19? Arnt those legally adults? Should records be kept on those folks as well? How do you prove they are 18 and 19 and not 12 or even 50? Should they then just retain all record for everyone 'just in case'?
Sounds to me like it is just more information they want to put in the vast database of everyone in the US.
This is a load of crap. Games most certainly have not gone up $10 every gen. I remember purchasing Final Fantasy for the NES for $50, plus a load of other games. The SNES brought more expensive titles like Phantasy Star 4 which was $80. PSX and N64 were all $50-$60, and then the PS2/XBox/GC were all the same. This is just another money grab by Sony.
Yeah, I fix shit at work all day and get paid for it. I shouldnt have to shell out $50 and then work some more to fix Bethesdas mistakes. Paying a company to fix their mistakes for them is not my idea of *fun*. Its my idea of getting ripped off.
It is illegal here in the United States, but it sure isnt illegal in Sweden. You would do well to not assume the whole world has the same laws as the United States.
I am an admin on a low user irc server. We have been attacked by spam bots on a number of occasions. Our global ban list is at 50,000+ ip addresses. How are we suppose to track down each ISP? They are virus infested machines all over the world.
It comes with two sensors that you place on the top corners of your TV. This is how it detects how far away it is. According to reports they tested damn near all types of TVs on the market and even projection screens.
Nintendo owns the rights to a few games, namely Donkey Kong 64 and Killer Instinct. The other games that Rare created (Jet Force Gemini, Conker, etc) are now fully owned by Microsoft and Nintendo will NOT see those games on the Virtual Console.
Microsoft wont let Rare's games be on Nintendos Virtual Console. It is OK for Rare to make GBA and DS games because those systems arnt competiting against Microsofts XBOX. The Virtual Console is.
There have certainly been rumors to this. According to Nintendo they havent decided yet. Personally, Im thinking 99 cents for NES, $4.99 for SNES and $9.99 for N64. Nintendo also mentioned they may offer a monthly-subscription plan where as you pay $30/month and play whatever you want. Sounds good to me
I dont see much hope in NOA bringing this state-side. Mother 1+2 has been on the GBA in Japan for a long time, with no word on bringing that here to America. They took a chance with Fire Emblem, take a chance with Mother Nintendo. I own the SNES version and it was excellent.
Vala returns toward the end of Season 9. They signed her as a full cast member (all 20 eps) for Season 10. Im looking forward as to how they get her into the team dynamic tho. An SG1 with 5 members? Its going to be interesting.
The only one of the original cast that is gone is Richard Dean Anderson. Everyone else remains. Also, they all signed up for a 10th season. The word is is that the series will continue to the 13th or the 14th season because of new storylines being introduced. Heres hoping!
Show me how you can fit a dvdr into a Gamecube. Even mini dvds dont work because Nintendos special laser reads the cds backwards. Pretty damn good copy protection if you ask me.
No, you cant download Gamecube games. You can play Gamecube games on your Revolution thought. Officially you can download NES, SNES and N64 games. Rumors persist that Nintendo is in talks with Sega about offering Master System, Genesis and Saturn games for download.
I guess it depends on circumstance. If I just walked into a store, got a 360 and took it home and it didnt work, sure I would return it. But if I waited in line 6 hours, fought customers just to purchase a broken item for my kid who is crying, then if I called Microsoft and got the run around, hell yeah I would sue. Of course I dont have the whole story, so he could just be wanted to cash in.
You're an idiot if you are going to spend $100 on an hdmi cable at Best Buy. Look online, you can find one that is just as good for $20.

Hoped that helped.

90% are from countries in Russia, Poland, Turkey and Brazil. I cant see a Russian ISP caring about an American IRC admin.

FTW = for the win (acronym). So its Nintendo for the win!

If thats the case then use this: http://feelingtea.com/decode/google/index.php It is a fM Google, Youtube & Ifilm Video Downloader (from the site), and it works great.

Maybe the government should sue Nintendo for all the kids hopped up on mushrooms.
Oh wait....

In other news piracy of crypto applications have risen dramatically in non-US countries.
Really now, do they think if they just dont sell it that it wont end up in the hands of those who they dont want to have it? Please.

I wouldnt mind a Civ port for the DS. The stylus is perfect for it and it really doesnt need to be dumbed down. Id buy that!
