Did you even read the article? Students have to opt in. Not opt out. Which means they arnt automatically displayed, they have to use their hands and do some typing to be shown on this grid. I dont see any privacy problems when its up to an individual if they want to be shown.

My boss has made it a priority to seriously look at replacing MS Office with OpenOffice when that buglist gets below 1000. We shall see if that can happen.
I cant play FPS games on consoles, its just something about the controller that just doesnt work for me. Added to that I love PC RPGs, IE: Baldurs Gate 2 and the like. Its very rare I purchase a PC game though until they are $20-$30 because of all the crap encryption (case in point Gothic 2, excellent RPG, had to dl a no-cd crack for it though)
Alot of the newer games wont even install if you have Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% installed. FEAR and Quake 4 come to mind. Its pretty awesome when game companies take it upon themselves from not even installing when you have a legitimate program that may be used for piracy. A good tool called antiblaxx blocks those games from seeing Daemon and Alcohol, but thats pretty pathetic. This is why PC gaming is dying, have to spend time hacking shit you paid for just to play a damn game. God help you if you dont have the internet and you buy a PC game.
Thats exactly it. If you already have wireless setup, you should be good to go. I am curious how the DS will respond to SSIDs and excryption keys and so forth though.

I have kids too, and you can be damn sure I know what they are watching or playing at my house. Now my kid can go to a friends and play GTA, but I hope that I taught him well enough that he knows the difference between whats real and fake.

Wrong on one there thing. The DS is backwards compatable with GBA games, BUT NOT Gameboy Color or the regular Game Boy.
