    but if you try to patent something and include references to scientific literature in the patent, it is quite likely that the examiner will turn around and use those references against you.

    That's why they will only patent things with no scientific literature, like Healing Pyramids and stuff...

    1. Still doesn't eliminate the use of your hand (obviously). So if you are driving (which you shouldn't be anyway), or cooking or whatever, you're SOL.

    Imagine how you are going to look driving with a finger in your ear.

    You're going to be arrested by driving under the influence...

    2 - only port 80 access (no ping, no ICMP, no POP)
    3 - IDS may be nica, but I don't know if they work like this (from inside)

    BTW Any grandpa who pays for cable to email their grandkids will NOT know how to hook his Wi-Fi connection to your point.

    But that`s what filesharing is for.

    Have you ever considering making your songs availabe through P2P (that is, if you`re a composer)

    It`s not filesharing that starves musicians, it`s monopoly and radyola. While Miss I`m-so-hot-shaking-my-bootylicious-ass makes big bucks, some artists earn nothing (and I mean, grat artists...)

    Try the Widcomm API.

    Yes, it has lots of problems, and you have to correspond API==SDK (that is, if you develop w 1.4 SDK it can only run in the 1.4 Stack). But it's fairly easy to program, an it has all that metters (RFCOMM and L2CAP)

    I guess compatibility is good (never had any problems)

    I've never used the WIndows XP one, but I reckon it's more difficult to use.
