In any case, people really do buy software outright, and the fact that we have EULAs is a pretty good indication that without the agreement, outright purchase is implied. So if you leave out the EULA, maybe you are implicitly giving permission to copy.
I'm thinking the theory in the link is right. Our pecan trees had a bumper crop last year. And, perhaps not coincidentally, we also had a drought. This year, the drought is over, but the trees didn't make many nuts. I assume that at least part of this is because the trees expended quite a bit of energy and nutrients the prior year, and so are not able to produce well this year. Also, pecans are a type of hickory, another nut mentioned in the article.
So... what was the acorn crop like last year? Was it huge? It would be interesting to see if the acorn pattern is following drought patterns. Not all areas suffered the same. I seriously doubt the trees have evolved some sort of rodenticide programming. There are plenty of other factors governing squirrel populations, such as predation.
if there's so much dark energy in the universe, then why don't we have any local in our own little solar system or planet? how come dark energy only makes the science of things far away off-kilter, yet all our science locally we can measure to 9 or more decimal places? seems like an awfully big fudge factor, if you ask me.

i believe this only applies if you're opening a competing business, that is, a restaurant. you can still open your Joe McDonald's Computer Repair or McDonald's Car Wash. well, after RTFA, it seems that they didn't cancel ALL bookings, just everything after next monday. whether that's reasonable time for people to rebook is up for debate, but they have to set a cutoff date somewhere. also, TFA says they've been at odds with the booking sites for a long time now, so if the booking sites continued this practice despite protest from Ryanair, then it's their own damn fault for getting themselves and their website patrons in this predicament.
maybe they don't want to lose their federal contract to photograph private lands in pot-growing regions and do some of that fancy "cloud processing" on the data we've been hearing so much about.

they may not have any standing in india, but american companies and american consumers are where the real money is. and that is why they're going after them now. i suspect that before this is over, not only will versions of this game targeted at americans be rebranded as "Scrabble", but Hasbro will also get a portion of ad revenues. and all this without having had to put any money into developing this themselves. before, there was nothing worth suing over, but now there is.

a password is not a key, it's a password. no re-keying of doors is necessary when you leave employ, and therefore no financial burden. all they need do is change your password so that you can't get back in, standard procedure when you fire anyone. your hypothetical IP contract probably also did not apply to DoctorFrog's payroll gig 15 years ago.
