Don't worry though. Everything will be fully functional by the time "XP Revolutions" is released, right?
Yeah, I think the OS just ends at a key point, and you need to buy revolutions, thinking it will explain and fix everything, only it doesn't. Just like in the movies.
Jim was good in The Cable Guy. Yes, but he was in Ace Ventura, Ace Ventura 2 AND Batman Forever. If we can't agree that he is a filithy, hideous creature, we have nothing in common. The man is meant to be a Vogon.
Who is playing the Vogons? I vote for Jim Carrey, but that might be too graphic for most people. I mean, I can't handle him reading normal lines. What will Vogon poetry sound like in the mouth of the child of satan himself?
And this has nothing to do with a crack or security flaw. The code was leaked by somebody who had the ability to read the code anyway. Unless you think Linux's ability to retrieve information from a disk is a security flaw.
And thus Digital Rights Managment was born. Only Windows boxes with proper, paid in full, keys can have such admin rights as READING A UNENCRYPTED HARD DRIVE!
A game that is a good intro to the whole online gaming concept has to be Soldat It's a shareware title, 9 bucks to register. Its far simpler then the average 3d shooter, as it exists in 2 dimensions. It really gets you into the whole navagating maps issue and deathmatch tatics without you really having to know a massively complex 3D layout. It runs on just about anything with a monitor, and really is quite fun. The whole concept of a 2d shooter takes getting used to, but if you aren't trying for the high and mighty l33t gamer, it is really quite fun. The servers are plenty, and the bots can give you a decent feel for the game before sticking your neck out to the online games.
I might as well play, strength in numbers, or so they say.
When your writer, Stephan Evans, states "SCO is the big, bad company that violates one of their sacred principles, as they would see it.", This is untrue. Non open source companies are not inherently evil to the average linux user. Claiming to have copyright over something without producing a micron of evidance is against the sacred principles of Linux. I don't condone this attack, in fact I am strongly opposed to any such attack, no matter who is on the reciving end. However, to go blaming an entire community for the actions of one misguided individual is mistaken. It is similar to saying all Muslims are evil because a miniscule percentage commit terroristic acts against Western intrests.
Get the facts straight before you start playing the blame game.
Well, apparently YuGiOh is all the rage at my school. If there ever was a game where the kid with the most money wins, this is it. Each card boils down to two stats, atk and def. Some ultra rare card blows everything else out of the water, and you can't whittle away its health, you have to kill it with one blow. Pokemon had more skill required. Go fish has more skill required even. I don't know about going pro at magic, but I assume it isn't much better.
I never thought these words would be spoken on slashdot, but get a real job man.
Okay, maybe this is completely off the wall, but does anyone see a relationship between SCO and Gollum? Nobody likes either of them, the once held power but lost it, and now they are resorting to foul play to get it back. Now SCO must resort to being tricksy to reclaim their precious business model. It would be just to slay them, yet pity should stay our hand. Many that live desereve to die, but many who die should have lived. In the end, SCO will fall into the fires of Mount Doom, but they may yet have some small part to play in the tale of linux.

Hmm. Its quite the game, a good mix of stratagy and skill. Good luck getting it to run. Also, most of the people on the newb servers hate everything, so remember to use/mute to shut them up.
So, I confess, I enjoy the occasional game of Gunbound There is the one item that switches your current position with that of a teammate. Jump off a cliff, on the way down Team Teleport, and enjoy the confused cries of the masses wondering how I am still alive.
No penalty for it either, yet. Most of the time team killing costs you a few rank points, but they hadnt thought of this yet.
What? Modest? Are you insane? It is as if a famous author had written a paper by such a name, but there was nothing modest about it. Something sick, like eating babies or something, I would guess.
And the refernce flies over the heads of the masses, guess.

I never really understood why people bash slashdot on slashdot. I mean, you've got nearly 2000 posts, yet you gladly call the site a "dork website" Slashdotters are not the majority, yet it is assumed that slashdotters make up the majority of slashdot, thusly we can relate to still playing with legos. If he was giving serious advice, I'd be with you, but give the guy a chance to expres himself without bashing his hobby with the club of the almighty dollar.
while I'm not for pollution, this is complete stupidity.
We have 300 years of data to work with here. The earth has been around significantly longer than 300 years. Something doesn't add up quite right here.
that works out to seven figures, even written without zeros in front, see
6990000 x 10^-6
The next big one will be 8 figures, I hear. Google will settle for 69900000 x 10^-8, rumour has it.
Don't worry though. Everything will be fully functional by the time "XP Revolutions" is released, right?

To be fair, I liked him in The Truman Show.
Who is playing the Vogons? I vote for Jim Carrey, but that might be too graphic for most people. I mean, I can't handle him reading normal lines. What will Vogon poetry sound like in the mouth of the child of satan himself?
I don't know, mozilla's next fire* might win for stupidest name. Fire-musk-oxen, anyone? The mail client should become thunder-great-white-shark, too.
Depends on how much you are willing to pay.

You mean those people who say "dun shoot me hun LOL" on shooters ARE actually women?

4. Give the money to the OSDL SCO defense fund.

Thusly you are modded insightful. Pretty cool.
