Except in the case of radio it is not only unethical it is also illegal. It would be nice if laws were enacted that required companies to disclose who they give gifts/bribes to so that the public can easily discover if certain groups bloggers/journalists are just paid mouthpieces for a companies products.

"Fo Sho" lost its appeal circa 2000 with the release of Snoop Dogg's The Last Meal but the term was not universally disposed as a term of affirmation until the release of Jay-Z's The Blueprint circa 2001 due to the popularity of the single Izzo(H.O.V.A) which borrowed heavily from Snoop Dogg's supposed "Crip Colloquialism". In actuality the proper terminology to express agreement with another party would be "Fo Shizzle" which is not "Crip Colloquialism" but a form of expression first invented by an often forgotten Funk band known as Gap Band

Something you fail to realize is that in a real war the survivors make the rules and both sides will do whatever it takes to be the survivor. You can throw the Geneva convention out the window if guerrillas hold up in a town and the citizens of the town do not hand them over I can guarantee you that the town after town will be flattened until word spreads that you can't hide guerillas soldiers without consequences. This was what was done in WW2 when holdout German soldiers were hiding amongst the people, after Germany surrendered, in small villages attacking American forces. We would be fooling ourselves to think that soldiers in future conflicts would not do the same thing especially after death and destruction becoming the norm after years of war.

  7. Easy Solution..... on More Bioware For Linux? · · Score: 1

I always believed there was an easy solution to this problem make linux users put their money where their mouth is and anyone who REALLY wants a particular game should make a down payment 2/3 the cost fo the game that would be put in escrow and upon the completion of the port of game, abc gaming company would have access to the funds, if they do not complete the port they do not earn the money. I always read comments on slashdot saying I will purchase certain games if they are ported to linux but spectacular failures such as Loki have proven otherwise (yes I know I am simplifying their demise) I believe such a setup would prove beneficial to all party's involved while mitigating the risk for gaming companies.

It is all a matter of perspective the one thing I was always disturbed by was how many Euros especially the Italians and French speak 2 or 3 inches from your face and STILL feel its necessary to speak loudly. In America we tend to prefer a little distance when conversing. Diversity makes the world an interesting place doesn't it.

Yes unless you happen to be black then the immigration process couldn't be any more difficult having two friends who moved to Aruba from Grenada and both ended up marrying Dutch women, I can tell you that both they and their spouses gave up on moving to the Netherlands because of the immigration policies that border on racism. As for comparing the Netherlands immigration policy with US immigration policy there is no comparison. Although many people seem to make the immigration issue in the US about race it is not. Both of my parents are immigrants from Haiti and Jamaica and they are disgusted by the fact that there are people breaking the law to come into the country when we have been working for YEARS, spending thousands of our own dollars to bring many of our family members to the US LEGALLY. While I understand that there are people who are against amnesty in the US because they are racist it needs to be known that there are MANY people out there who are against illegal immigration because it is a slap in the face to all of hard work we have done to do things the right way.

If you are from upstate NY why in hell would you want to live in a place like Rochester when you can travel 7 to 9 hours south and move to the NY-Metro area where there is a thriving job market, a much better climate, and an abundance of entertainment. Don't get me wrong Upstate is a beautiful place I spend a lot of vacation time during the summers but to ask someone in their 20s to live there is insane.

If anything I am just happy that all these wealthy people are paying the first adopter fee so the rest of us can one day get a real space flight a lot cheaper, a lot longer, and probably a hell of a lot better.

Deadlines thus piss off the kind of people who have a vision of what they want their "perfect product" to be like. And I would think these are the type of people google wants working for them. If you read the article you would see they have plenty of motivating factors so that argument is dead, coordination is highly overrated if a group of people are working on anything (sports, coding, singing, dancing) long enough they all start to work in sync granted you need a coach of sorts in all of those areas but you definitely don't need someone prodding them like they are cattle. I don't even know why you mentioned direction, I'm assuming you work with adults if they need someone to give them direction then you are in some serious trouble.
