on the other hand too much expansions can be also bad for the game. this was the case with me and bf1942, a great game on it's own but I was overwhelmed by the ammount of mods and addons one could download for it. when it comes to games I really prefer to have everything handed to me: Xbox Live is great, Steam is also awesome. I don't want to follow the scene to know what kind of mod is the shit these days, just want to sit down and play.

Nice initiative. Other similiar thing that's been going on in Poland is a non profit site (well it's hosted by a game store, but it doesn't charge for anything) is Swapzilla. People can catalogue their game collection, set up a list of the things they want, the things they want to get rid of. Mainly it's game related, but it's nice to see that people try to make swaping things easy.
in steam try to add "-dxlevel 81" or "-dxlevel 70" maybe even "-dxlevel 60" in cs:s launch options. the game starts looking like crap but the physics are still there so it's quite fun nonetheless.
it's on every system but the Cube.
and it shows... i'm playing the pc "demo" and the game's graphics aren't all that great. gameplay is good, but very BFlike. cool original SW cinematics though.
Serwer dione.ids.pl / dione.cc to niekomercyjny, niepubliczny serwer kont shellowych, utrzymywany przy zyciu dzieki uprzejmosci firmy IDS i donacjom uzytkownikow. Dione w obecnej formie dziala od blisko 5 lat, liczy sobie ok. 500 uzytkownikow, i jest administrowana nieodplatnie przez grupke ochotnikow.
the dione server is a non-comercial, nonpublic, shell account server. maintained thanks to the courtesy of ids and user donations. dione in its current form has been working for 5 years and has about 500 users, it's administrated by a group of volunteers.
the second part of the paragraph is about granting of accounts, and it basicly says that there have been cases of granting accounts to strangers.
an xb0x joypad also smells great. put your nose into the memory card slot and take a wiff, powerful stuff. best done when new of course, but the smell is rather long lasting so you may try in even now if you have an xb0x.
I read only those topics that intrest me. The same I do with usenet groups - I subscribe to over 20 groups but I don't read them all. Also I don't read every comment on/.:-)
I've done 4 mb in 3 days - try subscribing to some mailing lists - I tried the Fedora Core one and Suse.
Gmail is great, but I also have a little problem what to do with all that space.
I have a university account for 4 years now, whilst I got thrown out of the university 2 years ago. So with quite a lot of propability I can say that in 5 years time I should still have my university account. Maybe in the US your account is deleted when you leave college, but that kind of misses the point of an email account and address. Another good way is to have a friend admin, who has a server of his own and can setup an account for you.

they are flocking because of the invites, you are 1337 if you have a gmail account. the design is a secondary issue.

the game is really, really good. it's a whole lot faster on my box than version 2.0, the karma physics engine is a great addition.
When does Slack 10.0 come out?
I agree 120%. I never ever, ever! buy games based on a film. The only exception being Star Wars - (like Xwing and KOTOR, but those aren't film based).
actually this[idsoftware.com] was the first fpp game in 3d. And there was also Catacombs 3d, basicly the same engine.
