This game gives the goods pretty well. You shoot, pilot big ass robots around that shoot, kill a bunch of bugs, and kill a bad guy in a bigger robot suit then yours. What's not to like?

Sure the storyline is kinda flat, but your not playing it to be emotionally propelled into something right?

Shoot the bugs, get their guts to stay warm... Love the game.

One of the nice things about inland North America is that there isn't a large amount of large predators. Sure there is the occasional mountain lion, and the odd bear when you get in the north and west areas, but mostly, no large predators.

The idea of bringing large (huge) predator cats is insane. First we don't have a food supply that's large enough for them so we have to bring their food supply here, then, bring them here. Then, they will probably eat us occasionally. I can just see lone Telco trucks out in the middle of no where fixing some broken circuit being eaten by a few lions.

    What about farmers/ranchers/cattle movers?

Screw the tigers/lions. Bring back the buffalo, horses, & wild turkeys.

  10. Dont favor the customer, they wont favor you on Retailers Deploy Databases Against Customers · · Score: 4, Insightful

There will always be people who abuse policies. But, if you make it hard to do business with someone, they will stop doing business with you.

In this story, if the woman spent 2,000 bucks a year on cloths, say she returned 500 bucks worth in the same year, then the store is making 1500 from her. Now, since she has a bad feeling, and doesn't like to shop there anymore, she might only spend, 200-400 a year there, or maybe no money at all. So now instead of making 1500 a year on her they make much less. The returns she brought back could be resold anyway, so the business is not taking a loss.

There are two things; first they want people to buy on impulse, (such as clothing) and they must realize impulse will fade away sometimes. Returns are to be expected.

Another point is that returns are apart of business. They just are, and they must be ready for them. If someone conducts a lot of business with them, they will probably have more returns then a casual customer who only buys once in a while.

I do agree, I think a company should give you the tools to do your job. If they are after hours, a cell phone and laptop. and so forth. However, I do not own my laptop, that is the companies, and I think the Computer should only have the companies' data on it. It is theirs, not mine, and I dont want to have company data in my possession.

I do not let my company pay for my broadband, or my cell phone. I do not want my company to be able to summon my internet records or anything of the kind. Its my personal attachment to the internet, and I dont want to answer to anyone about it. If I want to look at nudie pics, well I'm over 18, its all good. Same goes for a cell phone. I dont want to feel like I am using company resources to speak to my family. Sure work is going to call it, and it will cost me money, but I rather take the small hit for that call or calls so I dont have to look my boss in the face and apologize for calling my wife for 20 minutes a few times.

Also, lets face it. It's do more with less. We are in a war here, between ourselves. There a tons of techies that will pay for anything to get a job. We as IT workers/managers are all in a war to generate results at the least cost. At times we must remember that.

I dont like it... but who does? I am just glad I have a job now and no longer job less.
