Also, before entering a chat room, the user could have to check a box agreeing that conversations could be recorded. Maybe it's more complicated than that, I'm not sure if you need to acquire consent on a per-conversation basis or not.
Clearly you are only interested in eye-candy. I would hope M$ is spending time on things other than the interface. I don't want Windows to waste my CPU cycles with hardware-accelerated graphics crap. I don't need fading menus and rotating icons.
With my copy of XP the first thing I did was put the Start menu back to windows 2000 format and turn the blue task bar into the classic gray one.

Completely wrong. TIFF is the best for photos. It's not the best for the web because of file size, but for archiving images, TIFF is the way to go.
It's sad that people need to reserve tons of memory for the OPERATING SYSTEM itself and not just the programs that run on top of it.
