Yup, people complain about a lack of time, and how they can't live without a cell phone, etc...
Seems to me that people were probably more relaxed and had more time before all the gadgets arrived... After all, you can waste a whole day scanning for viruses, spyware, installing patches, etc that just sucks out time.
Yeah, people bitch about high insurance rates, but when an acceptable(?) solution comes around they seem to balk at it. After all, if you want a low rate, why not prove it? Is Big Brother/privacy concerns worth the $?

Your right. This is great sounding, but I think the payout is way too low. You can't save enough personally to justify the hassle of setting up the program. Also, I don't think you'd be able to make enough pushing it to friends/site visitors. It's just too cheap of a product to begin with.

This is a great way to find lots of Linux games in one place. Previously I had to search Google, follow tons of broken links, get pisssed off, etc... I've stil had better luck playing games under windows. Maybe I'll check out some of the source code. Reading others' source code can be a nice learning experience.

This is a good way to get a new generation of engineers going. I know many of us probably got our start with games, computers, etc at an early age. It seems like it was easier back then because the systems weren't as complicated as they are now. Back then we had nice breadboards, through-hole components, eeproms, etc that made hardware hacking and learning easier. Now with all the SMT, it's hard to jump in and learn from scratch.
A new device such as this with eduction in mind from the start surely sounds like a nice hobby experience.
Hopefully this will open up the ability for dvarchive to include show-sharing for the ReplayTV users. I don't think it's a problem adding the code, it's just not on the top of the developer's list of things to do.
I assume that this is pretty rare. Even if you do set up this think on the side of a house, etc, how many people do you expect to show up? A drive in? How many cars can most people get in thier yard anyway?
I bet it's pretty hard to set this up for a large scale operation.
Most people install the Google Toolbar because they want pop-up blocking. Soon, once this is incorporated into IE, I assume more people won't install the Google toolbar.
No crap. How about having a drop down toolbar so you can choose your language. I'm sure someone can translate the site navigation to different languages. When it comes down to a 1-on-1 with an orkut user, if you can't understand them due to the language barrier, then your probably wouldn't hang out with them in real life anyway.
Does the Martha Stewart conviction make your more or less likely to buy her products? The products themseleves havn't changed, only the reputation of them...
These dudes are using AI to capture a hockey game and record the highlights. The game can then be made into icons and replayed on your mobile phone. The print artcile was better because they showed some screenshots.
Almost all alarms are the same though. Enter with the key, put ket in ignition and turn to the on position and push the little button (usually under the dash). That will disable the alarm for that instance. You gotta know where the button is though. Most aftermarket alarm installers put them in the same position though...
You might spend all your time creating a nice load, but if they can't speak english youre probably wasting your time. Are you sure they don't have any IT people over there that will put a base set of apps on the machine? They might just format it and start from scratch.
I wonder if Google takes some of the higher placed winners and offer them jobs? These contestants are probably the brainiacs Google would like to employ.
I got extra invites too. Take them off my hand please
