    I think they have a great concept. Let's enforce similar on legislators - any harm done by anyone in their jurisdiction while they're in office, they should be held personally liable for.

    Yep, the summary sucks, as does msmash, who should have ensured that a summary about ifixit's findings would have at least one link to ifixit, and not lame ones to cnet and past /. articles.

  6. "Taiwan" is the Republic of China (RoC). The article is more easily understood by knowing about the history, going back to the 1950's. Communist/socialist/dictatorial China (PRC) wants to own RoC/Tibet/south sea ("nine-dash line"). Fuck them, none of those are legitimately part of them.

    It's "jif". And for bonus points, it's also "jiggabyte" (giga has the same root as gigantic, rock stars have gigs). Extra-special points for "multi-medium" instead of "multimedia", unless you think "multiparts forms" is proper English.

    So, that's saying there was a reduction of 60% over previous natural levels.

    I suspect they meant to say the levels increased by 40%, but innumeracy.

    Not surprising from Google, who insists on encoding even plain text messages as (would have been) shown above, base64. Hell, even /. won't let me post what Google would send -

    Even plain old HTML is wrong in email.

    You're obviously not clear on the concept. If you currently work 8-16 local time, which is offset -5 from UTC, a change to UTC simply means you would work 13-20 UTC.

    How can you possibly argue that you'd work 8-16 UTC when you don't now?
