We're just in the process of migrating most of our users from Outlook to Thunderbird and I have to say, natively being able to read the MS-TNEF format (i.e. anything in Outlook Rich-Text Format) would do a lot to help here. Someone write an extension, or even better something server-side for Exim!
And yes, I know that you can get convertors which take the winmail.dat file and sort it for you, but that's not the best solution.
Terrance: Oh Celine Dion, what have you done? I was going to make us a family again, but now you've slept with Ugly Bob. Celine Dion: What do you mean? Why are you calling him Ugly Bob? Phillip: Because that's his name you stupid bitch. Celine Dion: You told me your name was Handsome Bob. Terrance: Look at him Celine Dion. Phillip: Behold, his horrible face. Celine Dion: Oh my God, he's heinously ugly, and I am pregnant with his child. Terrance: What? Noooooo. Celine Dion: I'm going to have a freak-baby. Phillip: Oh, the humanity.
That's too specific, you should submit something like "press a button to perform a function". Though I suspect that's already registered to Microsoft. And is the perfect example of irony.
This may be off topic, but am I the only one who thinks that they stole the character of Stick (visually at least) from Max (of Sam & Max). The smile especially, but also the shape...
Would have agreed with you on this one, and on the server side, still do. However have found issues with connecting to machines through a firewall (on port 5900) when using the Windows client. No such problem using RealVNC. From looking at forums this seems a fairly common problem. I'm sure there's a workaround but, for ease, I'll just RealVNC.
Umm... if ADULTS are getting addicted to Neopets, I think, most likely, that's the least of their problems....
Yeah exactly, I wish I had the time to play this, but what with shooting up heroin, performing drive by shootings and paying prostitutes for sex, I just don't have the time.
Monopoly:A business that is the sole supplier of a particular good or service. Regulated monopolies, such as electric utilities, are generally restricted as to the returns they are permitted to earn. Other monopolies such as firms with unique products or services derived from patents, copyrights, or geographic location may be able to earn very high returns.
I thought Australia and the UK were both region two? My brother lived over there for a couple of years and all his DVDs he's brought back play on a region locked UK DVD player just fine.
Is the UK one of the only places where you can just walk into any shop and buy a region free player without any problems?
I don't disagree that Hollywood is producing crap and that remakes is just barrel scraping, but there's more to it than that.
The best films I've seen recently have all underperformed next to dross like 'The Day Before Yesterday' (or whatever it's called) and similar banal movies. Look at 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind', it got fantastic reviews, was an incredible achievement but just didn't perform as well as some big explosions and pretty effects. Similarly 'Spirited Away'.
Hollywood does what makes it money and lets it pay retarded sums of money to the actors. Until the audiences mature, and they probably never will, all we can do is get used to it. Guarenteed the Spielberg picture will make a lot of money on name recognition alone.
I know this is probably a very simple question, but if you're taking someone else's work and remixing it, doesn't that mean you have some obligation to the original composer? What's to prevent Nintendo from sending in the lawyers to stop this?
Don't get me wrong, I don't think this is a bad idea or anything, (it's not my thing) but just wanted some clarification...
VMWare? Wouldn't that sort the whole limited application thing? Though I guess if you're going to run an OS in a VM to get around the limitations of the host OS, you may as well cut out the middle man...
I believe mailing davidxcohen@aol.com would do the job.

you'll have SCO on your ass, you're distributing their code.
This looks like the kind of situation in which it would be ridiculous to allow common sense to prevail over sensationalism.
Two words: presidential election.
I hear it has a giant spider in it, which Superman fights. They're the fiercest fighters.
It's going to rule!
will run out and buy the three Baroque cycle books
Run? I thought people who read Slashdot more sort of...waddled...

There's a good phrase I can use to explain this one:
If you work in a monkey house, you expect to be pelted with shit.

Post it's IP, I dares ya.

Gotta get me some of that!

Leonard Nimoy (Spock)
Thanks for that insight. Does anyone, I mean anyone on Slashdot not know who Leonard Nimoy is? He sang the Bilbo Baggins song. The loon.
But do click next after that one. Eh boys? Yeeeah. They may have lost, but I've won.

The article doesn't mention whether the toolbar actually lived up to its claims of automatically applying security patches.
No but from this article on The Register:
"In reality, the toolbar loaded a utility called called BrowserAid/QuickLaunch which bombarded users with random, unrequested pop-up ads."
Sure hes an asshole, but should bein gan asshole really be a crime?
Two words: Darl McBride.
