I've only noticed that far more games seem to be coming at a $60 price point now, when $50 was more or less the top of the scale for games that didn't come with their own controller in the previous generation.
But there was a time when games cost even more. Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy III (VI) cost around U$80. Virtua Racing cost $100 (it had a built-in co-processor). I'm not sure about Phantasy Star IV, but it was also something close to that.
I think it's the other way around. Not saying Stunt Race FX was bad, but I recall that Virtua Racing had a smoother framerate and a better feel of speed.
It makes no difference that you see more than one menu bar at a time, since no system lets you manipulate more than one application at any given time. The Mac's "global" menu bar, despite the distance issue you mention, is superior because it has better targeting and predictability.
It's not just the looks... the first iPod came in '01 with a 5GB drive, and that is still acceptable now. The Rio PMP300 had 32MB capacity, and a later model had 64MB. Sure, that was back in '98, you could say it was a pioneer, whatever, but that was pretty much worthless even back then!
Vista unlike OSX has yet to institute upgrade buying. Granted it's probably coming knowing Microsoft's history and they have enough other problems, we don't need to fake up apple's business practices for Microsoft.
The way Apple counts upgrades is a bit different. See, going from Windows XP to Vista is a very radical change, like moving from "classic" MacOS to OSX. But upgrading OSX from 10.2 to 10.3 is still a pretty serious change, like going from Windows 95 to 98. So it's not like you're paying for a security pack!
Jobs on the other hand is gives off (regardless of if it is true or not) a degree of approachability and dramatic flair (but, some would argue, at a hinderence of reality and pesky fact).
And I'll just say: Panzer Dragoon Saga.
I'd buy more CDs, but now they have DRM too.
To be fair, it's fair to be pissed off when your publisher releases your product before it is finished...
Of course, they'd have to include a cardboard guitar controller...

I'd much rather get updated versions of Chrono Trigger and the Soul Blazer trilogy.
I thought it was a Lego Moog. Just imagine, a synthesizer built with Legos blocks!
Is it something like this one?
Yes, but was it Evian?
Jobs does not hinder reality.
He merely... distorts it.
