Chinese resistance failed because imperialists and Maoists were never able to put their own civil war on hold (although the Maoists apparently tried several times, which part of the reason that the people supported them after the war).
Given that Mao's Great Leap Forward later killed far more people than the Holocaust, one can say that was perfectly justified.

Actually, it's mostly men jealous of complete wangs.

Seriously dude, I'm glad they did it when I was too young to remember..
So that you don't know what you're missing? Great reasoning there.

but if people don't want to do that to their kids, that's their own decision to make.
Logically, if I want to chop off my son's hand, that's ok too, right? It's not like children are human beings with inalienable rights or something like that...

People don't need more laws to tell them what to do, people need more BRAINS so they can figure out the right thing on their own.
Very well. Murder, rape, and theft are wrong. That's obvious, anyone can realize that; so let's revoke the laws against murder, rape, and theft - so people can figure out the right thing on their own!

I haven't actually used a Mighty Mouse, but it seems to have the same shape of the Pro Mouse. These are very uncomfortable and non-ergonomic, unlike the good old ADB II mouse. When Apple dropped the beige, for some reason they also had a major drop on the quality of their mouses - and, worst of all, their keyboards.

I believe Echelon wrote a video decompressor for Grandia (or maybe skys of arcadia) that ran on the dreamcast during gameplay to fit the game on two cds.
It was Skies of Arcadia. Not video, that game had no prerendered videos; Echelon compressed *everything*, all the data was decompressed on the fly. There would be an annoying "hiccup" before every battle, and the intro would not play fully. I bought an original copy, that game sure was worth the money!

I'm still waiting for a FPS where you can blow up a door if you have good enough weapons on you. It's completely illogical, you're loaded with explosives, rocket launchers and machine guns, and still can't get through a crappy wooden door by brute force!
Check out Red Faction. You can't blast the doors - yet you can blast the walls around it! Pretty good game anyway.
