"The average cycle on MMOs is two to four years," he said. "We can turn out the same content, better graphics, better gameplay in eight months to a year." He said games from his company, including "Africa," will have graphics that surpass the current industry gold standard of the Unreal Engine 3. When he talks about the ability for every computer-controlled character in "Africa" to react uniquely to each human-controlled character, he scoffs at prospective doubters. "They say it's impossible. Maybe if we were doing it in the archaic way everyone else tries to do it."
Uh-huh. Yeah, sure. Whenever anyone makes such wild claims, you can be certain that they will blow it. This game will be either full of bugs or delayed for years.
I've tried to play that anti-McDonald's game. It was not fun at all - and its "criticism" of the company was infantile drivel. And what "advergames" does McDonald's have? Mick & Mack: Global Gladiators (92, Virgin Games) and McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure (93, Treasure/Sega). The main difference: they are actually fun!
I don't play many RPGs of any kind, so that could be a factor.
What do you mean? RPGs are much better with a control pad... I just can't imagine playing all the way through Albert Odyssey, Panzer Dragoon Saga, or Skies of Arcadia with a keyboard.
Or do you mean PC-style RPGs, Baldur's Gate, Diablo, or those MMORPGs... eww.
I bet they would not! They haven't used this kind of advertising for years - at least since Steve Jobs took over, I think. And that's good, the "Mac evangelist" thing would not fly nowadays.
On OSX, it is safe to have administrator privileges: to do anything that could mess with the system, I still have to type my password.
On Windows, however, an administrator is pretty much a root user - total power, nothing to prevent a major fuckup. Many apps do not run if you are a limited user. And there's no intermediate between too limited and too powerful.
What a coincidence: just a few minutes ago, I found that my parents' Windoze machine was once again pwned by malware. XP SP2, fully patched, anti-virus, anti-spyware, yadda yadda... how come I've *never* had any malware problems with my iMac?
Infinium is too lawsuit-happy. Hey, guys, no one likes bullies! To sell your product, you must gain the trust of consumers. A nice start would be not using legal tactics in an unethical attempt to silence the people who investigate you and reveal what a complete scam you really are. Then people will trust you!...oh, wait.
With those buttons, it's going to be expensive. And everybody how most keyboards are nowadays: after a year or two of intense use, they're ruined. So, this Optimus better have mechanical keyswitches, or even hall effect sensors; or else, it'd be a waste of a good idea.

Actually... The Sound of Music was based in real facts.

Dance games are not TR00 H4RDC0R3 0LD-SK00L games. ;)
...or be prosecutedt to the full extent of the jam!
Other than distributing Miyazaki's works, as far as I know, Disney and Pixar have NEVER done anime!
Actually, it should be: "Pixar to buy Disney for minus U$ 7 billion."
Sounds a lot like Directive 10-289 from Atlas Shrugged...
How much did they advertise those titles?
Something like that, but not exactelly.

But Canonical's founder, Mark Shuttleworth, was born in Welkom, South Africa.
Yea right, when hell freezes. For now, torrent here and game info & music here .
I'm still hoping they'll release the source so someone can port Daikatana to Mac OS.
Since some politicians use that line so much... well, if it is a sincere concern, there are more serious points to worry about.
*points to sig*
Coz it is close to us.
