    I'm still running 2.2.20 on my debian server. If it aint broke, don't fix it. But I'm using 2.6.5 on my gentoo desktop though.

    I wish these countrys would consider the impact this could have on developing technology. I'm not sure how much lead a cpu has, but 1 square centimeter can't contain that much lead.

    Although the way the graph is done makes it look as if there are half as many ppc users as x86, look at the side. ppc is averageing about 40 votes, while x86 has about 2,200.

    This isn't supposed to be a user friendly distro. If you need one of those, go use Xandros, Lindows, Lycrosis, or Mandrake.

    Debian unstable, however, is bleeding edge, but not broken. It's great. Much newer than any other distro. I just looked at distro watch, and your right. Something change? I remember unstable having XFree86 4.2.1 for a while.

    I've installed debian without reading the user guide. In fact, I didn't relize it existed. Just because it's text doesn't mean it's hard.

    Gameboy rules the market. Over the years, many companies have made handheld systems. Not one has succseded in dethroning the gameboy in 15 years. Nintendo didn't make any major changes to the orignal design untill the gameboy advanced, over 10 years after the original gameboy was released. Nintendo ownes the handheld market, plain and simple.

    Don't worry, it will be bypassed very quickly. Besides, do you think that many people care weather the copy they are watching is a perfect digital copy or inperfect copy analog copy?

    Use a nat. It will protect me when I just installed windows. Plus, it's even working when I boot up the PC, something personal firewalls don't do.

    I'm not exactly sure of the cost, but I'm guessing that major OEM doen't pay only half of that. His other estimates are probably way lower than what they really are. I'd guess $120-$500 for the cpu, $70 for the RAM, $80-$150 for the hard drive, $20 for a cd-rw drive, and $50-$100 for the motherboard/chipset.

    I know you can burn them to CD, but I shouldn't have to do that. Apple/Roxio/RealMedia shouldn't be trying to control what their customers do.
