Too bad. You missed some good Will Ferrell through the rest of the movie. Granted it wasn't enough Will Ferrell. They had some good scenes that were cut on the DVD.
(It always used to gall me slightly that the Rio Central and car-player were described as "hackable", with the implication that people customising them were outwitting us in some way, whereas in fact we put a good deal of effort into making them geek-customisable...)
You shouldn't feel that way. The label of being "hackable" makes the device more desirable for a lot of us. Let us feel like we're doing something dirty and get more sales in the process. Sounds like a good deal to me.
I've got one of the basic Logitech optical mice, and the sound from scrolling the wheel was starting to drive me crazy. I pulled out the spring that causes the wheel resistance. It takes a little getting used to, but I can live with it for a silent wheel.
They appreciate the honesty, instead of the pseudo-consultants that talk up a storm.
I agree. I think that it is horrible advice to tell someone to act like they know everything. Everyone that I've ever known that interviews prospective employees always says to be honest about your knowledge.
I agree with you about most of the "reviews" here on/., but you have to admit that a power supply review is a hell of a lot more useful than most of the crap posted here.
I know that the SWG dev team has said that one of the reasons they don't allow the Musician profession to create their own music is that people could use copyrighted music.
I think the thing that has stuck with me (and probably a lot of other people) the most from Ender's Game was Ender's solution to prevent things from ever harming him again. (I would hate to spoil it for those who haven't read it yet)
I'm not too lazy to burn a cd if it were that simple. So I burn a cd with my songs on it. Now I've got yet another cd-r that I have to label and store in some fashion that makes it easy to retrieve. I don't know what you're computer area looks like, but I've got hundreds of cd-r's crammed in various cd cases, drawers, on the floor behind the desk, etc.
How is a bunch of extra cd's more convenient than just being able to download it again?
I've seen at least a dozen post in these Apple Music Store stories telling people that ask if they can download a song again to backup (complete with bold font to show their superior intellect).
Who has the time to do these constant backups of all the random crap on your computer. I try hard to keep copies of stuff like tax records, but I don't backup my music collection or other random junk.
Apple should allow people to download the songs again that they've already purchased. Live Phish allows you to do this. Maybe there is some DRM issue that makes this difficult, but, otherwise, I don't know why they wouldn't allow this.
I think this is one of the best ideas I've heard, and its very simple. Have the machine print out your choices, let you review them, and then drop them in a ballot box. This gives us an independent recount method if there is some sort of fraud suspected.
It's like IE, but with tabbed browsing and without wormholes.
There are wormholes in IE? Can I use these to go between work and home faster? Wow, this will really increase my productivity. I can use that extra 1 1/2 hours each day playing the new Zelda.

You should care about what is needed to stop future deaths in that area of the world. I don't think that removing/killing Saddam is some magic fix-all. I don't think that anyone believes that.
I do think that it needs to be done. I only wish we had done it a decade ago. What happens after Saddam is gone is the real issue. I know we can't just install Democracy XP over there and leave, but maybe we can work to help create some sort working government for the people of Iraq that allows them the freedoms that we have.

Why is it that so many people forget to put any sort of blame on Saddam and his government?
The reasons that the sanctions have been in place for so long is that Saddam has never cooperated with the UN resolutions passed regarding Iraq and disarmament. And he has not used the money he has gotten from aid programs to help his own people.
I'm digging up a bunch of links on this now. This PBS link has has a lot of info and viewpoints.
Are you kidding me? You are actually going to use a comment located in the Talkback section of Ain't It Cool to prove your point? That's analogous to using a/. quote in a Master's thesis. Take a few minutes reading some of those Talkbacks. They really are that bad.

I'd like to issue a formal complaint concering your stark nakedness.
x86-64 also gives you another chunk of architectural registers that the programmer/compiler can use. I'm sure this contributes to the jump in performance that is claimed along with the on-chip memory controller.
Not a very good analogy. More like you have an electrical socket outside your house, and you have a sign that says, "Use me". Then you get upset when the circus comes to town and powers everything off your socket.
I definitely didn't like the whole drugs analogy, but I viewed it more as a mistake that Buffy and the Scoobies made by treating Willow the way they did. They had the whole "out of their own" thing going without Giles, and they stuck with it, but it seemed that a simple call the England would have saved them a lot of trouble.

Mod this up. PCI has a lot of overhead and gets nowhere near its theoretical bandwidth.

Ever watch an episode of the A-Team recently? Murdoch can hide in an oil barrel in the middle of a firefight with machine guns and come out unscathed.

I completely agree. Maybe a larger pool of viewers being tracked will keep shows like Firefly and Farscape from being cancelled.
Also, I hate to admit it but it looks like I'm going be watching some Gilmore Girls if Jane Espenson is writing for it next season.

Unless you live in the ST:TNG universe, you can't replicate your car so that more than one person can drive it at a time.
Even if you did live in the ST:TNG universe, trying this would probably create a temporal distortion, merge you with a Vulcan, and kill your cat.
