I don't want to start a flame or something, but there are just two simple examples from everyday life.
I have a machine with XP Pro, and I have a scanner CANON Lide30 and printer Samsung ML-1210.
I have to install drivers for both of them. Windows XP does not have drivers built in. These two devices are pretty standard and popular.
I never connected the scanner to my linux box, because it has no monitor, mouse or keybord, but the printer runs just fine (I have CUPS installed)
and I use it as a network printer attached to my linux box.
Resources? What recourses?:)))
Can you imagine what kind of technology allows FTL
If you have that technology, you don't need resources, you can simply make them (assuming you can make anti-matter and etc.)
The Temporal Cold War was my favorite arc, however I didn't like the Xindi arc. It was totaly 9/11 replica.
The Temporal Cold war was promising arc, you had misteriuos Daniels, you had the Tholinas non-humanoid race with advanced technologies and the
Sulibans all of them competing in that Cold War it was really interesting.
I know my spelling was wrong:)) I am not an enlgish speaking guy:)))
I am a happy owner of SAMSUNG ML-1210/laser/ not an inkjet. It works like a charm/Fedora Core 1/.
I been having that printer for 3 years.
Samsung have drivers for linux on theyr web site, bu t the distros altrady have support for it.
Enterprise was the best of the StarTrek shows (my opinion).
The story line with the Temporal Cold war, sulibans the mistery guy from the future and Daniels
was one of the inovative ideas. I don't know why the y have canceled that story line.
For the same reason I don't watch UPN anymore. I don't know how shows like Martin or Kevin Hill generates money compared to Star Trek for example.
