I was looking for this. You may have said this as a snark but don't be surprised that within a year or two, the company does start whining about not finding qualified people and requiring H1Bs to staff the company, at 1/3 to 1/2 the prevailing wages. The real skeptic in me says to then wait a couple more years and the company will whine they're not profitable, close the plant, and move the jobs to China or Indonesia.
In addition to the money Steve has from his Apple years, I can't imagine he's had to buy any Apple products, including phones, in decades. He just needs to log into their employee store, type in his badge number (#1) and place an order for whatever toys he wants at no charge. That probably gets the attention of the clerk who gets on the phone to Cook's secretary who notifies Cook who then delivers said toys directly to Steve's door. When he says that the high price doesn't matter, it's just quid pro quo.
And even should they get through the interviews and receive an offer, their lack of ability will become quickly known with their first assignment. Unfortunately, you will always have other companies down the food chain who'll hire the dregs because the good people won't work there. It's my theory that this is how companies who make IoT devices get their programmers and why those devices are the shits.
I remember playing this after hours at my first job in 1978/79. We had these 3278 monitors from IBM that displayed green characters on a black background. It must of been around 9 or 10 at night when I wandered into the volcano room and the screen painted itself with this wall of glowing, green text describing what I was seeing in the room. The lights were off in my office and it glowed green from the light of the monitor. I was totally mesmerized. I eventually solved the whole game and moved on to other things but I've never forgotten that night.
I, too, grew up in the south SJ valley and now live and work in the south bay. I wouldn't go back there if the housing were free what with the summer heat and smog and the winter ground fog. Not to mention it's a cultural wasteland and redneck haven. BTW, what's the electric bill on running the air conditioner when it's 105 for 3 weeks straight in July and August?
I assume each truck has a GPS tracker in it and the routes driven are downloaded and analyzed by UPS bean counters. Are there penalties imposed when a driver deviates from the no-left-turn policy too often?
So it appears Scott is peaved at Governor Synder of Michigan for his taking the lead in poisoning the waters the citizens of his state have to drink and this is his efforts to win back that worst governor in the world award. Its a real battle this year between these guys, Brownback, and Walker, LePage, and just about every other southern governor but actually making people sick looks like a winning strategy, making bankrupting your state look old school.
At least I had a stable wireless connection with 8.1. When I installed 10, it worked for awhile, but after several updates, it stopped working. A reboot would restore it for a short time then it crapped out. I had hoped the new version would fix it but, if anything, it made it worse to the point where I have to operate with a cable if I want to connect. In addition, they still didn't fix the problem where my custom mouse profile won't load automatically at boot time. Every boot, I have to go to the mouse settings panel and manually select my custom profile. Every fucking time.
If there is any doubt about this, consider the fact that they voted to tax themselves to pay $300 million for a new football stadium for a team owned by one of the richest men in the world with a net worth of $20 billion and owner of a $200 million yacht.
I remember, back at the dawn of the PC age, going into to my local computer software retailer and browsing the rack for games that were sold on cassettes that were packaged in plastic sandwich bags with a one page set of instructions printed with a dot matrix printer. I'd buy a few, take them home, put one into the cassette player whose audio output was connected to my Apple II+, and start the programming sequence. A few seconds later, the computer would beep and display an error message stating that it couldn't read the tape and to try again.
Maybe there are reasons to still have concerns about them but this goes beyond just concerns. How did this get into Juniper's code baseline? Is there a mole, working inside the company or did their servers get hacked. Why would their code servers be accessible from outside the company in any case? More importantly, how does this get fixed? Has Jupiter sent out patches yet or done a complete review of their code to verify that there aren't other security holes? Can this backdoor be disabled without patching? IT groups in a lot of companies must be having the cold sweats about now.
It's the US Open, watched in person by thousands, and on TV by millions but rather than making it all about the tennis players, this dipshit feels that the Open should be all about him and his toys. So he flys his drone over the stadium and ends up crashing into some seats, causing a delay in the match-in-progress, lucky not to have hurt someone in the stands. He's yet one more example of an adolescent in adult form who is incapable of recognizing that this is not an appropriate place to play and not too overly concerned about its ramifications. Fines and a little jail time are exactly what he deserves.
Don't argue facts with the wingnut faction infected with Obama Derangement Syndrome. They simply roll off like water off of duck's feathers. They have their own reality and won't acknowledge any other.

and anxiously awaits the arrival of our astromen.
Will you be among them?
You had the switch on "kill" rather than "assemble".

who will be the first BASE jumper to die jumping from the tower and how many days after its built will that take place?

Damn, I miss XP
Stop using facts in your arguments. This is all about perception.
You laugh but there are people in Texas right now nodding their heads and saying "make sense".

I never did play those fucking games.

Motto: At Least We Aren't Mississippi
all the myriad ways each of the teams find to cheat
with access to your critical IT systems with nothing to lose.
Not exactly the type of ex-employee you're looking for, I'm pretty sure.
I take it you don't live in Nevada.
Well, of course they didn't build them, given the total lack of wind in OK, except in certain areas in and around Oklahoma City.

And then another $300 million to change the textbooks from Mount McKiney to Mount McKinley.
