it might be that the date bug is causing some internal mod prevention code to trip. This is why the console can still be used to watch blurays or browse the web or play ps1 and ps2 games. the mod code prevents access to the psn and ps3 games, which is exactly what people can't access at the moment. sony should hopefully be able to reset the mod prevention code remotely, via an online update or posting cds top the affected parties

yes but there should already be a record of all of this. They could be huge costs but the amount should already be known. That's why it shouldn't be complicated. Sarbanes Oxley required accurate and complete records of all time and materials spent on contracts, especially time and materials contracts. If the contractors were following US law then the records are done already.

Because of sarbanes oxley, all of the companies would have impeccable records of time and materials spent on projects so it would be a simple matter of billing what was used. Time and materials contracts get cut short all the time, I'm not sure how this will be very complicated, unless the contractors are out to fuck NASA over. But you can't blame Obama for that

that's just adding variables to the calculation. You still use the basic gravity model for the main calculation. The elasticity of the ball and surface are examples of the numerous variables that can affect the result. The more we understand of materials science the more accurate we will be.

This is very similar to climate science. We have a model that is the basis for the calculations. However this time there are millions of variables and we don't fully understand all of them yet. We need to do more climate science to improve our accuracy.
