Goddamn, there a lot of long words in that post, I didn't have my eureka moment for understanding what he was on about yet, but when I do, I'll post about it.
I guess you can call me a fanboy, but I've been with MG since it's humble beginnings on the MSX computer.
Worked all my way up to the PSX version, PC version, PS2 version and last but not least, the GC version (which is just a remake of the PSX version with updated graphics and a Nintendo reference here and there that could have been kept out of there in my opinion). From what I've seen online (movies, interviews, snippets, rumors), MGS3 is going to be one hell of a game. In this episode, you also have to keep yourself fed, by eating snakes even.
I mean, aliens don't have to be our size, they could be tiny little critters that can't be seen with the naked eye. This could just be a series of tiny little BBQ's gone wrong?
If I was an alien, Sicily would seem like a nice place to go:)
Ahhh yes, Arena. The first game I bought with my own allowance YEARS ago. I remember it fondly. Walking around for hours, especially in the snowy towns, watching the flakes fall, enjoying the great music. A game from the pre-cdrom era, installing it from a bunch of disks. I love Bethesda games (even if some of them weren't quite that good, bugridden even). Personally I think that giving this game away is a "good thing", tying in a contest to celebrate too.
But one thing pisses me off though, I can't enter the competition because it's open to U.S. residents only. If only companies would realize that their fanbase (if they have one) reaches beyond their own borders.
Somebody will keep hacking the reference drivers and put them online.
Right now I'm using a different tool to circumvent various dvd protections. DVDIdle, no regions, no Macrovision, no nothing and it even lets me skip those annoying warnings "Thou shalt not reproduce this disc"
How the hell did you get this past the lameness filter? Did you sneak it past while it was napping or did you infiltrate the Slashdot server park Mission Impossible stylee to enter this there by hand??
Will they ship this with the game or will the speech be residing on the EQ servers. If the latter is the case, you might need a faster version of broadband, right ??
Bill Brown is the composer of a lot of music in games and movies. He wrote/created some of the music for Rainbow Six 3 and for C&C: Generals. You can legally download some tracks here.
RFID ??

Into the microwave you go before you are allowed to enter my house
Eureka

Enough bla bla, I love it, period
hehehe, when I read that 5867fps, I thought, damn, that computer must have some great specs to deliver such a high framerate :D
If they did all this testing and this bug didn't show up, it makes me wonder how many killer bugs are still in there.
Not only is it better for the enviroment to upgrade, it also saves you money :)
(hey, I can still use this case, etc etc)
Who is to say that they aren't?
:)

Jeez, you sound like an asian hooker
Lameness filter encountered. Post aborted! Reason: Don't use so many caps. It's like YELLING.
The only DDR I care about is Dance Dance Revolution.

Cool tech though
Cool, then by that definition, I'm perfect :D :P

I think some IT heads will roll there.
Anybody wanna apply for the job(s) ??
(Ok, it probably means moving to Canada, but for a lot of people that shouldn't be a problem, right??)

Ok, I want to know 1 thing.

Inquiring minds are confused
When you get new quests, you get new texts for the NPC's, so it sounds plausible, doesn't it ??
;)
And if I'm a muppet, I'd be Animal
WOMAN BLAAAAHGRHGRGHRRG!!

"You could probably fit them all into the trunk of a Cadillac, with space left over for a spare tire."
What do they wanna do?? Kill all the good guys and sue the rest ??
What's my sig doing there?
Isn't it better to try a livecd first? There are enough out there at the moment.
If you don't like it, then it's easier to switch back if you want to.
That's how I'm gonna try it anyway.

"Reason: Don't use so many caps. It's like YELLING."
That's because I WAS yelling.
I mean, he's probably somewhere in the US and I'm here in the Netherlands, so he can't really hear me if I whisper. Damn lameass filter
Space. The final frontier ...
Next is the ALT
Because your tv probably doesn't support more than a 100 channels :P
Ah Slashdot, where the empty-sacks troll under the guise of an AC, fearing a normal discussion.
I say "Put your IDnr where your mouth is"
