    In my eyes he's a winner because he is willing to work for a company like Microsoft to put bread on the table for his partner and maybe even kids.

    Too bad for MS that the dollar is financially weak at the moment.
    I mean, it's "only" +/- 507293667 euro's at this moment.
    Is it possible for MS to wait with the payment until the $ and the euro are about 1:1 again ??

    If they manage to get the fighting engine working well, they might set a precedent for 3D beat-em-ups.

    From what I've read, the Bullet-Time option will kick in when you've landed the killing blow on your opponent, wasn't it much more cool if you could activate Bullet-Time during battle, like in Max Payne.
    I guess it's really hard to do in an online game, who should be moving in bullet time, who should move in realtime, will spectators outside of the Bullet-Time area be viewing a really slow or really fast fight?

    Difficult stuff.

    Dude, I'm not a Linus fanboy, don't know jack shit about linux. I'm not a zealot of any kind.
    I've got a slackware 9.0 install gathering dust on a 5Gb partition, For most of my time I'm an XP user (don't shoot me), mostly for games and movies and a bit for work.

    Somehow Transmeta will always have a warm place in my heart. Don't know why, but I really like the company and praise them for what they are trying to do.

    1 Ghz is not that fast, but for normal work, it's more than enough. :)

    Ok, I love the packaging with the cow motif (if they are still using that), but that's all I like about it.

    I had to set up a gateway computer for my uncle a few years back, used the restore cd's and Windows kept f*cking itself up.
    I could blame Microsoft for this one, but the horrid restore-menu-architecture was the source of all my anguish.

    This and not having an internet connection handy really ruined my day.

    Has their software improved over the years, anyone??
