The GBA is definitely not powerful enough to run movies at a decent quality (even with an extra peripherical that does some of the decoding work, there are limits), and besides the resolution is way too small.
and an Xbox title of any kind is, sadly, nowhere to be seen in the Top 30.
Yeah, it's pretty unfortunate that Microsoft is having a hard time making a profit in Japan, because you know... hey wait a minute, am I still on slashdot?
That 6GB of yours is most likely a very old HD, and back then they were much more resistent than our modern 7200RPM, over-heating monstrosities. I too have a prehistoric 6GB that's been running almost 24/7 for possibly five years and still kicking, while my more recent 40GB HD just died after 6 months of similar use.
Lindows was a goddawful ugly and stupid name. Being a distro that is gaining ground these days, it gave Linux a bad name, and made a lot of people think the sole purpose of Linux was to compete against Microsoft.
Valve and iD have the right idea, you don't need the CD in the drive to play it, just the CD-Key to play over the net.
Wrong, CD-Keys screw customers too. More than once it happened to me to attempt to go play Half-Life online but being unable to connect to a server because apparently the CD-Key auth failed.
Go fuck yourself with your CD-Keys Valve, I bought your game, now let me play.
You're missing the point, Thunderbird is intended to be only a standalone mail client, not a full-blown PIM like Outlook. If you want an Outlook clone in terms of functionnality, check out Ximian Evolution instead.
Ahem. About Soul Calibur II, all consoles were NOT given equal footing. The GameCube version had one of the most famous videogame characters in history as extra, while the PS2 and XBox both had a bland, shitty character as extra. It's a no brainer that the GameCube version sold well.

So you'd find it hard to believe I'm using it right now, and that it's actually the only web browser I use in my everyday browsing?
Please stop spreading FUD. It's true that it sucked back in the 2.x days, but now KDE's HTML core is rock-solid and very standards-compatible. Hell, IMHO it's much superior to Mozilla's now. I get much better performance and it's a lot more responsive than any Mozilla-based browser I ever used. The sole fact that Apple used KDE's HTML core for Safari, their so-called "lightning fast web browser" speaks for itself.
Subdermal RFID microchips to pay for goods?? What the hell? Would that mean that we would all need to carry surgery knifes with us so we can take those chips in and out of our bodies to pay for stuff? "Hi, I'd like to buy a coke." "Okay, that'd be 3 subdermal RFID microchip units." "All right." (rips himself a new one, takes out chip) "Damn, I only got a 5-unit chip!" "No prob, here's your change" "Thanks!" (rips himself another new one, puts 2-unit chip inside) "Thank you, come again" "I will... right after I come back from the hospital, I think I just cut one of my arteries" (falls to the ground, unconcious)
You had to shut down your machine while the hard disk was active? OH NO! THAT'S ALMOST KIND OF SOMEWHAT DANGEROUS FOR YOUR DISK!
Seriously, how many decades it's been since hard drives DON'T break when you shut the power during accesses? One, two...?
You just said it yourself. It's mostly because of patented stuff that they can't release open specs and drivers. And as a company, NVidia can't afford to just "damn the patents".
Stupid Apple zealot. Check your facts first, many PC motherboards support USB storage booting.

I guess I was right...
I'm guessing whoever modded me down was the actual developper of ESD himself, or a Gnome fanboy.
Indeed, that was a great "two part solution". First you give out useful advice, then you fuel up a console flamewar. Brilliant.

Actually the real reason why sound in linux flash sucks is that they use ESD. You know, that piece of shit soundserver that comes with Gnome...

...not to mention The Lord of the Rings has made nerds, and nerdish behaviour, cool.
Oh, I wish.

And of course, the best part about Nordom was that he was voiced by the same guy who does Homer Simpson.

Bullshit, nforce motherboards existed way before the XBox.

Actually the guy thought his XBox has too slow, so he tried adding some "speed holes" to enhance its performance!

Yes, what an incredible password that is!

Ever since I subscribed to Videotron's regular high speed access back in the summer of last year, my assigned IP has never changed.

"SCO logic" says yes!
Coolest. Post. EVER.
Most of the games you just mentionned were also available on OTHER consoles too, so I fail to see your point.
