The bigger failure rate through email (come on, -some- people have wisened up over the years... right ? right ??), has caused the spammers to look for other ways, now taking it up to the DNS level.
I guess that when this is eventually blocked, and spammers -really- are out of ideas of what to do next, it's time for the ninja-midgets-phase:
A spammer will employ stealth ninja midgets (or clone them), that will roam around the world causing havoc by typing in their master's URL in your browser, while you're out to get a snack.
"Somewhere some Raven dude said they would include a multiplayer mode that tried to recapture Q3As feeling - haven't heard more on that though lately.
The last I heard of the MP part of Quake 4 is that it would not contain the limit that is imposed on D3 (8 players max), but it will be going back to higher playercounts. Also, the maps would show that the D3-engine is not only limited to indoors dark maps.
Also, vehicles(gametypes) were to be included.
Really looking forward to Q4, as Doom 3's multiplayer part really disappointed me.
First rule of Toothclub : You don't talk about Toothclub.
Second rule of Toothclub : You don't talk about Toothclub.
Third rule of Toothclub : You don't tell that the girl that is toothing, is actually a fifty-something named Bob.
"Remember 'toothing'? It was a craze that was sweeping England last year as bored commuters arranged sexual encounters using Bluetooth-enabled cellphones.
and Well, what happened ?
I only agree on your 3rd and 4th point ; As the others are easily circumvented using the appropriate plugins/browsers.
To put some balance in the skewed scale you're proposing :
1. Flash is very easy to use and makes up for some great animations that would normally have taken ages to create.
2. Besides it being a browser plugin, Flash can make some pretty decent offline apps.
3. The versatility of Flash both suits graphic artists as well as coders.
4. It makes a great sandbox for small games.
But notice the great self-insightfull comment that is hidden in this this screenshot.

A very cool April's fool joke, with clearly some thought put in it : I would have never fallen for it though (not a WOW player anyways).
Kudos to Blizzard for putting quite some time in a seemingly simple joke.
This got me quite curious if there actually was a book from Death and the Maiden (another great movie by Polanski:
A quick google came up with http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1932 100202/103-1779969-7311810?v=glance "Against the background of the American Revolution, vampire Jonathan Barrett struggles to save his loved ones from his own beastly nature."... Not quite it:)
Allthough I'm not very literate, I have read my share of books in the past.
Thinking of movies, converted from/based on books, I can't really come up with one... Besides maybe 'A Clockwork Orange', which I read in highschool and did not like too much (then again, I might not have been ready for the type of english used at that time, being non-native english speaking and all)
; But absolutely love the movie.
I am curious on what your (as you said, personal) opinions are on where movie translations came out better than the book.
I noticed Ed O' Neill, Al from Married with children, the other day in the movie The Bone Collector.
Allthough he was in a serious role, I expected him any minute to sit down on that couch, put his hand in his trousers, and start bitching at his wife...
They allready can make lightbulbs that will last forever : It's not the impossibility of something to achieve that always holds it back from being put on the market.
I don't see too much special here (besides it being a funny gimmick), as it's an animated movie.
Replacing textures of 3d fps game-models have been common ground for ages : Only now with the D3 engine, you can get near the quality seen in the screenshots of the animation.
Good ol' corny Robocop. :)

Hahahaha, at least I rent at Blockbuster, with NO late fees !!!oneleven!! ;-)
Replace 'Canada' with 'The World' and you're still quite on mark.

I would have sworn I have tried that the other day, before frustratingly giving up. Guess I fudged up.
Thanks.
Agh, at 5am getting html and forum-board scripting all messed up :)
Thanks for pointing that out anyways.

Until I not noticed in the IMDB entry (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109579/) that it's actually based on a playwrite, by Ariel Dorfman.
Seeing that it (most of the time) all takes place in one room/house, makes perfect sense now, being derived from a playwrite.

Guess I should have previewed it so I could at least link to the appropriate site for any info on the clueless.

You have to start -somewhere- : Controlling robotic limbs will require much more sophistication than turning the volume up/down.
You might want to try the one year free trial of Anarchy Online, or wait for Guildwars.
I think for that to happen, Dr. Who first has to be caught sniffing cocaine at some intergalactic whore-party.
Guess the chances are slim.

Damn typecasting.

It's too funny they use quotes (like the prostitute killing) which are based upon urban legends...

Still, a funny idea.
I for one, hope he will be focusing on bringing a scaled 3d-engine to the mobile platform ; Hopefully opening a whole new scene of homebrewed mods.
