Try those drinks, they use splenda sweetener (derived from sugar, no calories)... Pepsi One, Coca Cola Zero. They're actually pretty good; def better than diet.
You're not factoring 3 dimensional space. Like sky skrapers... both in terms of population per acre or food production per acre (although the latter is not, yet, as common).
If you're going to be taking care of the actual business operations, you should be the Chief Operating Officer. Technically the COO reports to the CEO; the CEO takes care of the major aspects of the company, its general direction, etc. The COO manages all of the actual Operations of the company.
I have a similar dilemma, as I am also starting a business with a friend (although we both are Finance Majors). I suggest that you actually take on 2 titles like Chairman/CEO, President/COO.
Bottom line though, if you want your business to succeed, the jobs should go to the person that would be the best at it. And then salary can be split however you feel is fair.
"It's regrettably amusing that Apple competitors are working hastily to develop iPod clones to reap in success, but what many of them fail to comprehend is that it's not necessarily the iPod that makes Apple successful, but rather its customer service."
I have a 3rd generation Ipod, my sister has 4th gen, and my dad has a nano. Neither one of us had any contact with Apple's customer service. The reason we haven't, is because there was no reason to; the ipods work flawlessly. It's because of the Product, that I like Apple. I bought an Ipod because I wanted a good mp3 player, not because I wanted to talk to friendly customer support.
'You have this game that's all about fast cars and racing through city streets. It's actually really ironic,' he said.
Wouldn't it be ironic if he had a 'street safety video game'? Well, I gues that's why he's a police officer and I'm on slashdot. Now... If that police officer looks like a pig, that'd be ironic.
And on a more serious note, clearly those two guys have a need for speed.
Let's pretend that there never was a mouse, and all we had were consoles. How would we bring this about?
The reason RTS is successful on the PC is because of the functionality gained by having a keyboard & mouse. Porting RTS to a much simpler control design will yeild either a different game or a different gaming experience.
Using current controllers for RTS is like proposing to type a book using a cell phone's text messaging feature; yes you can type on it, but why the hell would you want to?
PC Gaming isn't dead. If it was, companies wouldn't spend millions of dollars on developing PC games. People say shit for the sake of saying shit. They don't bother to understand what they're talking about. Take me, for instance.
If you don't have myostatin, you'll have serious problems; Body builders are found to screte less of this, and are able to build muscle much more impressively than the average joe.
Removing myostatin from the body may cause more profund effects like having an enlarged heart; I dont know if any of you recall this, but there was an article on a 'super baby', a child that has no mystatin production (both his parents were freakishly strong as well). He's about 4x as strong as children his size, but doctors warned that he may have serious problems with his heart also growing uncontrollably.
While coordinating a console launch across multiple continents is truly a massive undertaking, a company as massive as Microsoft has no excuse for being so grossly unprepared.
??. Microsoft did get the xbox to market 6 months before PS3 is even slated to appear, and the Revolution to be debuted. This is a company that faces the realities of production vs time, and consequently it is excusable. There's a price to pay for launching the same type of technology 6 months ahead of your competitors; saying it's inexcusable is at best childish and at worst ignorant. Mind you, Microsoft is launching the console Worldwide!
He directed Hellboy, Blade 2, and Mimic... he's notorios for underground scenes and the actor Ron Perlman. So good chance those two things will be in the Halo movie if he directs.
Exactly; Correlation and causation are 2 different things.
Even if there is a positive correlation (those that drink more coffee tend to have less cancer) that does Not mean that coffee is that catalyst in reducing cancer. Maybe those that are genetically less likely to get cancer share a trait where they also have a predisposed liking for caffeine.
To answer your question we have to weigh the benefits of a local mon and pop store vs. online retailers & ebay.
Internet allows me to sit at home, order a game, get the lowest price (or close to it).
Having said that, there are people that still go to stores and don't shop online. Chances are, if they're is a major gaming store next to a 'mom & pop' they'll go there on the pretence of greater variety; they'd probably be right.
So the conclusion I would draw is that Mom & Pop stores, more and more, will be come locals for last-restort purchases; if the game can't be found anywhere, or it is needed immediately.
Of course there will still be people that buy from local small retailers, but as trends have shown that number is continually decreasing.
I, for one, agree with their #1 pick (don't know about the others, but I'm sure on #1) I mean, can you think of a better product for the #1 spot? What would you have picked instead?
To name a few products that I think are a bit more revolutionary than evolutionary:

Are you Asian?

This is news almost as bad and trite as the all too often "evidence of water found on mars" posts that make it the front page.
Do they know that it's Water as in H2O or simply a liquidy viscuous substance that shoots from a small opening at the tip of the moon?
I think you copied/pasted this from a religious thread.
This is almost as newsworthy as the story about the Superman Bulge.

The real question is; do the Europeans have a 'Flux Capacitor'?

Not to mention, Helicopter pilots have had this system for a while. Plus it's not that cool; it's not portable.
The last part was, of course, a joke. I hope.
...they ended support for Windows years ago.

Interesting point. I overlooked it, and I agree... they definately did not compensate their pricing based on the basic concept of supply/demand.

Even with the shortages, I'm impressed.

I like firefox, i use it, and i tell others to use it. But to say Firefox is the best product of 2005 is rather disappointing.
