    I won't get it unless it comes with a camera. only real reason to have bluetooth-enabled sunglasses. Would make uploading screencaps of tv shows so much easier!

    well, if I may, I'll add Media Monkey. Even though the complete version isn't free, this is the best playlist creator, mp3/CD player I've seen so far. I've installed it to my sisters and also to my mother and they loved it. It can index everything you've got and gives you an easy way to update batches of ID3 tags.

    The colour of the taskbar in Windows wasnt just randomly picked by Bill "hmm, lets make it blue", they would have had researchers and testers etc to decide what it should be. The same goes with every little detail in Windows. Its not based on what some guy think would be best, but typically by what the research shows would be the best

    Seems to me you never worked for a large enough company. I think you never heard of the most important criteria for deciding every little detail for any product. It's called it BSS around here, Boss Says So.

    Doesn't matter how hard we work on something and how many sources we show that support our POV. If we show it to higher instances and they say "I like it better blue", you be sure it's gonna be blue. Cruel world. :)

    And that's as cathedral as you can get, and it's everywhere.

    You have to remember that most of the /. crowd are the reason dodgeball has disappeared from schools these days. They were on the receiving end of those vicious headshots, and took their revenge on the world by creating spam, computer virii, and distributing copyrighted material for free over the net...

    Those annoying kids always left me to be the last one chosen for the teams. But I taught them. They don't think Bagle and Beagle are a pastry and a dog anymore...

    agree completely. Companies (and government) should think of open source solutions the same way they think about off-the-shelf: as a possibility. Not just use it because it is open source. Risks, advantages and everything else should be considered in both cases. :)

    I think it's much more interesting to spend money on training and end up having people with more skills, more able to get better jobs than spend it all in M$ crap and keep people in an ignorant state. Not that you can't learn from using M$ products, but isn't it best if we can get more people "unafraid" of open-source software?
