    I think the defensible line should be products that are produced while adhering to international operational health , safety and welfare rules along with environmental laws. If national labour laws allow a cheaper wage that offsets the shipping etc then it is economically better to manuf. Companies that shift to manuf elsewhere because of lax standards should be penalised . fcuk em

    are you able to tell us the user and password and port that was compromised so we can make a judgment on how bruteforced it was .

    if it is a password you use elsewhere ( ./ acc :D ) , I can understand if you won't want it published.

    I use UBCD4win on a USB stick as most comps will boot from USB - a CD only for ones that don't

    with it on the USB you just run the updaters in the plugins of the tools you use and not worry about burning a new CD every time

    I always have used

    start -> run -> gpedit.msc

    admin templates -> system -> turn off autoplay

    enabled - turn off autoplay on all drives - apply

    I was in China for a while in 2007 and while I could search TPB I could not download the .torrent as it would just time out - similar to normal golden shield blocking

    this was simply solved by putting the D/L url into my overseas proxy and from there the torrent client worked normally.

    wireless IP cameras are already here

    I've even used Wifi cameras connected to 54GL APs with tomato setup as AP+WDS , so only 1 cat6 from 1 AP back to the main switch.

    these cameras are running embedded linux at the moment , streaming D1 MPEG4 - will be switching to eCos http://ecos.sourceware.org/about.html soon.

    won't be long before the cameras will all be connected to each other with WDS ( Wireless Distribution System ) with STP ( spanning Tree Protocol ) to stop broadcast storms.

    though if you doubleclick on the drive letter in "my computer" you will run the autorun.inf on the drive - so untrusted drives , explore first.

    This Story came about after the Queensland police contacted all the people who had made international transactions via Australian banks to Nigeria.

    Not much effort really

    Though you would think the banks should point their customers to websites detailing scams of Nigerian origin and check to see if they really wanted to transfer money.
