That's the book I was thinking about, but you are wrong about the "time machine" causing the black holes, it was an expermintal fusion plant that was creating the micro-black holes, and was causing interference with the time machine, so they had to send a message back in time to stop the plant from going online, without having a chance to figure out what would happen to them by sending the message.
I don't think the black holes were causing interference to the machine but they were orbiting at high velocities and low enough to damage things and people by putting holes in them. I do remember that they had to send a message back in time to prevent the black holes from destroying the Earth. In the story once the micro black holes got going nothing could stop them. Interesting book and funny that about three fourths of the story never happened at the end of it all, since every message sent back changed the future.
They probably think it is a great idea until it happens to them. Hopefully people will bring accusations against those officials and see how they think of that kind of lawmaking then.
Get your self a fancy shmancy hi tech toilet. I will stick with my old school mechanical toilet.
And when the nukes and EMPs hit us, I will be the only one with a decent place to take a crap.

By then Apple might announce and make available a new iPod nano. It is possible but it still wouldn't compete in features.
Or would it? It is about time the nano got video capability. Either way 8GB nanos must be around the corner.
I am gonna hold out for a 64GB nano whenever that happens.
But can anyone explain to me why gravity would be the only force bleeding into other dimensions? Or is it the only one?
Also is there any evidence of extra dimensions already? I would think there would already be some evidence since it does not
sound very scientific to me to base the very popular string theory on imaginary notions with no basis in reality. If we are just gonna make up dimensions
to make the math work isn't that just as bad as making up Thor to explain the thunder and lightning?
Who modded the parent insightful? It looks to me like they were trying to be funny.
HELLO! smiley!
It is not like without brochures hackers could never find the unsecured networks.
They already find them very easily.
Why should I care about the human race? In 100 years nobody I care about will be alive anyway.
If something wipes out the Earth I don't see it as a big loss to the rest of the universe.
There is probably some other race out there more deserving of survival beyond their world.
That should make a good story. make sure you post it whjenever you find the salesperson who'll shut the hell up and leave you alone. I am sure many people would like to know where we can find such a mythical creature.
It seems like everyone knows about Asimovs laws of robotics. But when I see people recomend them I wonder how many people have actually read any of ASimovs stories. I read most if not all his robot stories and a common plot device is the problem with such primitive and simple laws. Read the stories and you will see a lot of problems the basic laws can produce.
"Oh, I understand, but that's why we (in theory) have a represenative government -- to put supposedly wise people in between power and the slobbering masses."
A representative gov't elects someone who represents the people. If the people are wise they will elect wise representatives. If people are ignorant or have poor judgement then so will their elected officials. Understand why Bush is in office now? The slobbering masses have their slobbering president.
With time and practice. Time is how we become talented. You practice and practice something and that is how you get good at it. It doesn't matter if it is drawing, painting, sculpting, skating, fighting or shooting. More practice makes for more talent.
There are like a hundred different headphones you can buy that will work with the iPod.
Go get a pair at the dollar store for cryin out loud. Geeeeez.
Why would anyone listen to one side of their stereo music if they did not have to?

How usefull is the zoom feature if the resolution still stinks?
I have found new comfort in the fact that I never gave my employer my email address. I guess now I never will.

Zanac for the NES had this feature built in back in 86.

4 weeks? I took my iPod in and they replaced it on the spot. And it only takes Apple a few days turnaround any time I need a Mac serviced.
Know that there is a difference between the Macbook (iBook) and the Macbook Pro (Powerbook).
"In fact, I believe that most of today's societal ills can be either indirectly or directly attributed to Apple." LOL what a sad hater
but where I live I think it is against the law to deny anyone an application. So if you ask for an app they have to give you one.
LOL he/she Reminds me of something I heard once "Some of the most beautiful women I ever met were men."
Why would privacy come into this if it is not about anyones personal information?
All the pron is at tubgirl.com yeah...
