I have seen far too much good done by small religious organizations. Like unions, religions tend to do good when small. Once they get to a certain size.. Well.. But that's the nature of it, and the religions need be kept in check by members. NOT the government.
I agree with you. As with everything, the more power an organization has, the greater the corruption. There are many examples of religious organizations that when they start, they do great things. Pretty soon they become so large that maintaining the institution becomes the primary goal, even to the extent they hide wrongdoing by individual members to not damage the "brand".
I think you hit the nail on the head with the reason it was so "meh". There was no emotional connection to anyone on those planets. Starship Troopers, as bad as it was, had a much greater emotional impact as Jonny is talking to his parents and the video darkens and then goes to static when the asteroid obliterates Buenos Aires.
The worse thing I dealt with when living in Pittsburgh were the drivers that would come to a complete stop on the on-ramp to the turnpike and wait until there was no traffic in sight to move.
When I was in high school and college I couldn't afford the cost of new books so the used bookstore was my favorite place to shop. Once e-books took off, the used bookstores all went out of business, at least in my city. I would love to have an online source to legally purchase "used" e-books for cheap. I am more than willing to pay full price for authors I know and like, but the cost of discovery for new authors is pretty high and the local library is quite limited.
There are worse ways to spend your time than in a car, seeing the vast expanses of America
I agree, although the never-ending fields from western Ohio through Kansas gets a little old after a while. Good thing the thunderstorms rolling up break up the monotony.
The day I went from 300 baud to 1200 was amazing, it no longer took ages to load a single page of text. The jump to 2400 enabled me to actually play some of the bbs door games without hogging the phone line for hours at a time.
I am disappointed to find out that this is not a real game. I was just imagining an 8 hour marathon multiplayer session with hundreds of players and how awesome that would be.
The mortgage itself does not require a fingerprint, but the notary public will require it in their notary book for all real estate related transactions. Of course each state has their own notary rules as well, so your state may be different.
I know that August2017! is just dumb to use, that's why I make it secure and use !2017August.

I do not know where you get your history lessons from.
I am guessing from Evergreen State?
Nothing worse than getting into a series, then having it abruptly end. For a while, every show I watched was getting cancelled.

Add Firefly to that mix! I'm still not quite sure what Fox was doing when they ran it.
Put the F keys on the left where God intended them to be! Can't use my Wordperfect keyboard template with the F keys on top.
I just don't post anything I wouldn't want my spouse or parents to read and know it's me, no matter what name I am posting under.

Netcraft confirmed it of course.
Truly this is news for nerds.
I left you a voice message about your e-mail, can you fax your response back?

The first computer I purchased was a Packard Bell 286.

I'm not addicted, I can stop anytime I want to.

Does North Haverbrook have one?

How much in tax dollars is being spent to make this happen?
You are right. The tax incentives were the reason that I could afford to put solar on my house 4 years ago.
How many members of the Seattle City Counsel are Republicans? (hint: the answer is 0)
