"The man behind the $10 million X Prize for private spaceflight is joining forces with a venture capitalist who is also an Indy car backer to establish a NASCAR-like racing league for rocket-powered aircraft."
With the crashes that tends to happen in NASCAR (just watch the highlights from yesterday's NASCAR race to see what I mean), perhaps this isn't a good idea. I think that if you're racing rockets, the last thing you want to do is "trade paint."
..... regardless of how many iPods are affected. The mere mention of this issue caused it's stock value to nosedive 4.4% yesterday. (Surf to HERE for more on this)
Part of the problem is that Apple has become a MP3 player company, and not a computer company. According to most people in the know, they don't turn a profit from their music store and the so-called halo effect of the iPod is of limited value to them. And then there's the Merrill Lynch downgrade to neutral from buy that they got this morning (Click HERE for more) because "although Apple's recent performance has been extraordinary, there are question marks over the effect of the imminent transition to Intel-based hardware."
I'm suprised that nobody has mentioned.....

...... Google will be the top dog trying to fend off a more agile upstart. They'll be losing employees to that upstart and Eric Schmidt will be one tossing chairs in his office and claiming that he'll bury people the way he buried Microsoft.
Just wait and see. History sometimes works out that way.

The cool part is that my organization keeps all of it's data behind the firewall and corporate policies are still enforced.

You wouldn't happen to be refering to the CIBC/Genuity lawsuit? To recap, The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is suing Genuity capital, a new company started by former bank employees. CIBC says the employees used their BlackBerrys to improperly recruit their colleagues while still working at the bank.

How about these?:
- The camcorder and video machine you use to capture those memorable family moments - baby's first steps, weddings, holidays - use VHS tapes. US pornographers' decision to adopt the cheap convenient VHS - rather than rival Betamax - when the two systems were introduced in the 1970s killed off Betamax while sales of pornographic films drove take-up of video recorders.
- Your DVD player may be great for watching out-takes of the Mike Myers' comedy Austin Powers II: The Spy Who Shagged Me, but it is real sex movies which have driven DVD sales because, unlike videotape, users can skip quickly to and from their favourite scenes. The pay-per-view cable or satellite TV movie channel is only available on your TV because pornographers pioneered subscription 'premium' services first in hotels and then on digital networks.
- Did you watch the BBC's interactive coverage of Wimbledon on Sky's digital network last summer? Watching four games at once or changing the camera angle so you can watch your favourite player more closely may look new but it isn't. Pornographers perfected the technology a decade ago for an entirely different 'sport'.
And don't get me started about payment systems. CCBill likely makes millions off of porn.
For example, I woke up this morning to discover that the price of gas in Toronto Canada shot up 20% because of this hurricane. Anybody want to bet that we will see the cost of everything from Oranges to gas go up in the coming weeks?
Sudden price increases like this cannot be good for the economy.
.... The CEO of your company tosses chairs in anger and rants about "killing" people.
.... Likely a Microsoft employee. These days, they'll do anything to avoid a flying chair.
"people who were sold defective software by Microsoft weren't "injured,""
And to think that this is the same sort of logic that will be guiding the United States of America for decades to come.

Not good if you're an Apple investor.
..... Is it FULLY functional in EVERY way?

The question was retohrical in nature.
(I would have thought that was obvious)

You need therapy if you work for a chair throwing loonie like Ballmer.
.....move the chairs out of Ballmer's office.
....and start hunting for the person behind the blog (not to mention everyone who comments on it) and start firing people to send a message.
(If they can't or won't do that, I hope they've got the chairs bolted down!)
..... If this will stop the chair throwing?

As far as they are concerned, problem solved.
.....this is aimed at guys who download lots of pron.
Would that be straight porn, gay porn, or lesbian porn? There's three more versions right there!
This version moderates your documents and has a Zonk process that dupes your files needlessly.
These toys allow you to take a 3.5" or a 2.5" drive and use it externally via USB or FireWire. It's been useful to me in my existance as a bench tech.
