    Some windows installs come with Qbasic, mind you, you cant compile sh*t on that either.

    My physiscs teacher discribed an intresting side effect of a lighting storms.

    he was in his pool ans could hear thunder in the distance so he throught he should probably get out, but as the cloud got closer the surface of the pool started to "boil". The huge negative chage in the cloud induced an equal positive charge in the ground underneath it. As this positive charge was attracted to the cloud it made ions in the water making it boil. After pondering that for a minute he jumped ou tof the pool so as not to be killed.

    20GB is enough for a photo/mp3 collection. Might I ask how you aquired 20GB worth of mp3s LEGALY, unless you are paying the sallery of the entire staff pf iTunes you cant have got them all in a non file-share manner. Therefore you shouldnt complain about the storave capablities for "your" mp3s. You dont hear a shoplifter complaing about doors being to small to get their haul out.

    Who needs photos bigger then 3-5 mega-pixles? Any bigger and they cant be displayed on a monitor at full res. no printer can match the resolution and the files are bloody HUGE. Transfering 1gig pictures from a memeory card at any speed would still take ages. Some times its nice to know the tech is out there, but it has no practicle use.

    I've read the book "The Tinker Toy computer" and it occured to me if you have enough rope, pullies, springs and the means to assemble them you could make a machine with sufficient prossesing power to have AI. The only real obsticle would be finding all the materials and the man-power to create this machine. A warehouse full of rope could be smarter then any human, unless that human had scisors.
