Well you could always do what they do in spain (if you can hit the satelite.
speak to a nice friend in blighty and get a sky subscription then get equipment and set it up in sweden.
It's what I do in spain. (and a lot of other ex pats).
No but his railguns may.
Speaking of which I know I only have a rudimentry understanding of physics but surely he should of done some calculations regarding optimum coil size wire diameter coil spacing field strength.
So they would pay (hahahah yeah right) to have equipment put in place at all major isps to sniff the traffic that could handle the gigabits (in our companies case) of traffic that flows through our network to watch for these fingerprints.
And this will not degrade the performance of our networks.
Yeah I see that happening.
Will this be anything like the software that they are urging parents to place on their kiddies machines to look for copyrighted material ?
You know the same software that would identify a video of me racing around a track as copyright infringing material (as well as all the media that comes with windows), then they will start suing everyone with a pc.
Also I listen to my cd collection at home from work (I converted most of them to mp3 and they are stored on my server at home) I stream them to my machine at work.
If the media companies sniffed my traffic they would sue me, I'm not doing anything illegal (in the case of the law not in the eyes of media companies) however I couldn't afford to fight this in court.
It makes me want to go back to a life of crime, or is it it's going to make me go back to a life of crime.
Yes from my limited experience they are a little too intelligent. I was diving at a site over in spain and I was chatting to a few of the local divers I'd already dived their a couple of times already that season, they started joking about looking out for the octopi that lived in the area and to not let them get too close. Fair enough thought I, so I got kitted up entered the water and was looking for these octopi when I see one so I go and have a nice close look. Not to close thought I next thing I know it's managed to remove my mask and make off with it. Fair enough thought I so I release my bouy and make a controlled ascent as I didn't feel like continuing the dive sans mask. upon breaking the surface I look towards the shore where the locals are having a good laugh at my expense. So why did it remove my mask ? Most people thought it was to get rid of any pesky diver snooping around others thought that it was collecting them and wanted to start a dive shop as it (assuming that it's the same one here)had also tried to remove regs with a little less success.
But isn't the point of the cell processor a distributed model.
From the reviews I've seen they are touting it as if the cell communicates with other cells to handle all the processor intensive stuff. so where one cell would not be as powerful as an x86 cpu two cells would be. And the way they have designed the things is as a seperate computer on a chip so you can basically upgrade your ?? just the same way you upgrade your memmory.
Or have I gotten the wrong end of the stick and they are designing these things for pointless fun.
I think it would depend on the location of the servers which gave out the information.
However If I worked for google and was a nasty person I would ensure that if you entered the search term you wouldn't get any results for the correct company after that sort of ruling.
I mean it's not as if they were passing off the one company as another (which trademark covers). It was merely giving the surfers an alternative.
So wouldn't this ruling actually be classed as anti competetive behaviour, heaven forbid that in the search results a different company was listed instead of theirs.
Ah but isn't the watt rating on the psu's a max peak output. ie it can handle pushing out 350w for short bursts of time, like power on. However if you were to run these psu's at 350w constantly they would blow. How long they could run at the max rated power would depend on the quality of the components used inside.
Well I work at an isp and we on many occasion have had our mail servers blacklisted because of customers spamming through us, and it's a pain to get yourself removed from them all. This is not really new spammers have been doing this for over six months. However if our mail system notices that an increase in mail is coming from one ip it will tarpit it then we cut them off and phone the customer. However one time we did this 4 times for one customer and every time they said it was a compromised pc in the end we told them if they did it again it would cost them £500 for us to turn them back on. Guess what they spammed us once more and they got charged £500. Then they did fix the problem.
No doubt the underdog will come up with a far cheaper design that would save Nasa millions, however how many congresional panels will the underdogs be able to control to win this ?
When I was a lad Growing up in hartlepool we would occasioanly have beech parties (near the nuclear reactor with the 1 mile safety zone (don't ask)) And one time we were little drunk and went for a walk along the beach we eventually got to this large fence and walked along it to find a nice gap that without using anything you could get past (it was near the spillway) so we decided to go and hug the reactor building. After hugging the building we left by the same route without being confronted by anyone. Then my friend tried to swim to france but thats another story. Like I say we were drunk.
Hmm maybe we're all going to adapt to the changing weather patterns after all it's what we do. (If or when the climate does change in a serious way).
However after reading things like this I can't help but wander around the office and sing the doom song.
A friend who used to drive a tank was stationed in Germany and one time he was blasting down the Autobahn in their tank at some ridiculus speed when all the traffic stopped (an accident of some sort all though by the time my friend reached that part it had gone) Well has anyone here seen a tank stop they are very good at it and they have a tendancy to pivot up in the air a bit. Well this was all fine and dandy, they didn't hit the car in front, however the guy in the merc behind them was not so lucky his car couldn't stop as fast as the tank so when the tank finaly came back down there was a merc there to cussion the fall.
I was just thinking this if you can make an electric motor that has the same dimensions as the disk brakes fitting would be a breeze and it shouldn't weigh too much ???
four low power electric motors replacing/integrating with existing disks.
Although replacing a warped one could be expensive.
But then the rest of the sentence would be gramitacly incorrect and I'd just look like some weirdo that can't form a proper sentence (or spell properlly).
I used to run a 220w peltier on my system I cooled it using a water cooling system.
The water pump broke the water changed phase then.
This sounds a little like those patches that you stick on batteries to make them last longer.

Ok goto to freshmeat and look for a package called motion install on linux box with cam installed.
Tweak.

Ok I just rtfa and oh never mind.
I mean come on that's the main cost of a night scope

Had to go and buy a new mask though !

ah that would explain it then.

Is this a one way trip you are planning ?

I mean in a few yours it might be worth something.
It's still in it's box.
