It's a known fact that methane is one of the gases to blame for global warming, and humans "expell" this gas through their behind several million times accross the world every minute.

So therefore, us humans are causing global warming.

(Would this mean we should really blame most of it on Mexico for its mexican beans?)

I wouldn't, but I once read this story of this surgery that was performed somewhere in the USA and it involved a Win95 box with the surgery software or whatever.

(And if we consider the bad guys being actual females, then they're even more dangerous because they can whack out their little make-up mirrors they always carry in their tiny bags, and use them against you.)

Or if we look at it from the perspective of the bad guys having these lasers... now to be safe you don't just need a tin-foil hat, but a tin-foil full body suit!

  12. You forgot "plussing" on Some Ways To Avoid Spam On Gmail · · Score: 0

You forgot about the undocumented plussing feature in Gmail...
    ---
Gmail supports "plus" addressing, which means that if your address is maryhadda@gmail.com, you can receive e-mail at maryhadda+littlelamb@gmail.com or maryhadda+longaddress@gmail.com, etc. Why is this useful? Well, Mary (or you!) could use one, er, I'll call it a "plussing," for mailing lists ("maryhadda+lists"), and another for shopping online ("maryhadda+shopping") and so on, and then create filters to put useful labels on the different types of mail.

Some have suggested that this could also be a useful spam deterrent (e.g., using maryhadda+2004q2 and then discarding e-mail sent to this address the following quarter), but I think this suffers from two key flaws:
    1) Spammers are probably smart enough to start stripping off the plussing :(.
    2) After a while, you'd have to create a LOT of filters, and -- at least for the moment -- we only get an allotment of 20 filters total. It'd be a shame to use those all up in a (likely futile) attempt to thwart spamjerks.

They didn't say anything about not wanting third-party gmail checkers. The reason they made the image verifier thing is to prevent potential abuse from spammers using bots to login and send spam from Gmail (whose fast servers would allow for sending HUGE amounts of spam at once).

It's still possible for third-party Gmail apps to interact with the service. They just need a little upgrade so they read existing cookies rather than login to Gmail to obtain them.
I've explained how to do it here.
