Does it really deserve its own name? I mean people have been doing this for ages. They think of a scene and just act it out. Its great fun, but movioke is going a little to far...
I think it would be better the way it used to be for the consumer. I mean really, now that all the competition is gone, prices will probably skyrocket. Of course, maybe not because the companies no longer have to loose money to competition (if the competition isn't doing so great). Why did they do this? It just makes me wonder..
I can't believe they are still around. Other countries take control and don't let them spread their junk. Why can't they be stopped here in the US too? I mean, it just urks me that after producing no evidence and spreading FUD, they haven't been required to stop, and in fact will file another backless lawsuit (or so the claim).
Atleast its a good sign that they are taking so long. It shows that they're running out of juice
I guess that answers the question of the X-Box 2's processer. I wonder why Microsoft made this move though, considering the classic WinTel alliance. It doesn't seem like a normal thing from them. Wether or not one companies top chip is faster than the other, does it really matter which one you use? It seems like by the time games start maxing out the processer, a new console has already come out. I mean look at all the other consoles. The Play Station used a relatively slow processer for the time. Same with the X-Box (733 mhz). Possibly price, but then wouldn't they go with AMD? I mean, why break compatibilty and go non x86 when x86 chips are farely cheap?
I can't believe your still running Commanche!
I'm running Apache!
seriously, 20 years and billions of dollars without a working product. Its tough stuff, but with that type of input and no working output, all I can say is ouch and scrap it.
People will be selling generated pepsi codes on ebay. This will probably make iTunes need to cancel the service. If that happens, then I'm mad at the hacker. Either way I am, because it will simply help pirating IMO.
What is the point, if anyone really wants to conterfiet software, they'll find a copy of older versions around. It will work just as well. Heck, why not use paint, with some skill that could work. This won't deter those who truely want to counterfiet. Maybe it will save a few $100 a year from those who are lightly considering it, but mainly it will kunut people who want crystal clear images which the software determines to look like money. This hurts, not helpes IMO

should look at this book. At the highschool level, atleast around here, Algonquin (one of the better public high schools in Mass), does barely any Computer Science beyond the basics. They teach enough C++ to print messages on the screen and write files. I doubt they get to the API although they may. The also have your basic Java and VB courses. I think, not only should they teach low level programming, but our public schools need better and more programming courses. For example, you shouldn't be required to take C++ 1 Printing the screen to take C++ 2, etc. You should be able to start at your own level.
Sorry if I'm ranting, I'm just annoyed at the schools CS courses and think that they should have more in the way of that. Especially assembly. I think this book would be great for it.
Its good to see at least one PC Retailer distancing itself from Microsoft. I thought that I read somewhere that Microsoft will not allow you to distrubute windows if you distrubute another non-microsoft OS as an option. Maybe it was just Linux. That connects with my second question: Why FreeDos Opposed to Linux? If its because of some MS rules, then I understand. If not, they should include more options.
Eather way, they are allowing an OSS OS to be bundled. GOOD LUCK TO DELL!
I'm havent read the whole list yet, but my friend has this Ford Minivan. It started having problems after a few years (consider that he did get it used). It started with the radio breaking, then the heat, then the locks, etc etc. You can't trust it to go anywhere. Systems randomly fail and start working again.
Also, when it was getting really dirty and never washed, head scrape of crud so that things that said "Wash me jerk" mysteriously appeared all over it.

I think its great that they're making money. Hopefully, its not just from donations. If they are making a profit, I'll be happy to know they are solidly (hopefully) in business. I just love there distro(mainly the installer)
As far as 10.0 goes, I'll try it out. I must agree, this seems a bad time though with the 2.6 kernel just and and a new KDE out too, I bet it will be buggy.
I mean really, Mandrake was starting to loose its buggy stereotype. Putting in new software (which probably has more bugs), seems the perfect way to get the reputation back again...
Good luck to them and I hope they succeed anyway.

You mean you use some sort of mail program? That implies that you talk to other people! That implies that you know other people! Weird

It looks like the dark side of linux developers is showing. It damages Microsoft and SCO (Trying to be funny. I have a weird sense of humor)
