It EXACTLY minimizes their accomplishment. Everyone knew the day that was easily exploited, google would get a little less accessable to the disabled. Everyone knew it was the weakest attack point. (jerks!)
This is more invasive than things you can normally glean. *any* item won on your account goes into this log, along with the exact time stamp. the only way to see what items a person has won without this, is to be standing within view range of them, when they choose to wear it.
It also shows gains in currency (emblems/badges) that were previously undetectable
In a nutshell, it provides more information, and increases the precision of already available information. i.e. from "ooo bill has a new superawesomeitem recently" to "bill got a superawesomeitem at 2:26pm, 4:14pm, and 8:22pm"
actually.. we are living in the world of ~12th generation mp3 players. I bet a $4 mp3 decoder chip from china sounds better than anything called "hi-fi" when the term was invented
when looking for a solution for my ds, it turns out its a real problem. there are almost zero microsd storage card solutions out there. not even the crappy wallets!
So i ordered a pile of surface mount microSD card slots, glued them to the lid of the DS. instant solid storage. i even spent extra (i think $0.50 each total) to get the clicky ones. nice and solid. I plan on gluing a few of these to the top of my camera lens cap once i get around to ordering the SD card sized ones.
What are their clients viewing the graphics work on? Paper? or a LCD?
Serious question. Assuming they are better, does it really matter if your clients arent using them? I cant think of what media they could be publishing for where an LCD would be inferior/to the output/
I know ideas of wisconsin bring up mental images of endless fields and cows. But we do have a world-class university here, with a world class data network. GB/s? thats/nothin/
the comparison of digital media to books is quite an apt one, and the common sense one that people will tend to adhere to.
and its not just because we grew up being able to do that with books, its simply how humans treat information they perceive as useful or valuable. Sharing that information is what got humanity to where it is today, nobody is going to give that up. its practically instictive.
I dont believe it would void your warranty to install codecs on appleTV, they worked out how to modify it without taking the case off a loooong time ago. check out 'patchstick'
What on earth do the managers of a city of 8000 people know about data networks? probably nothing.
Some independant contractor probably sold them the idea that they could become the town of the future if they laid fiber to the home. Reality is it will leave the contractors pockets lined, and the city with a half assed infrastructure thats too expensive for the 40% senior citizen population of the town to pay for.
Its happened all over the country the last 5-8 years. its no more than modern snake oil.
It sure SOUNDS like the sort of thing you should get all outraged about, but this is really not the solution to the countrys data needs. its got to be federally ran. or state level at LEAST.
All the reasons that brought up the expression "dont believe everything you hear" are going to become relevant for video now.... any ideas for a new expression?
'dont believe everything.' is a little too depressing:P

a quick look IN THE LINKED ARTICLE would have shown the same result. but nice googlin there
how many of those links are less than 48 hours old?
You talk as if the hardware would exist, without the software store

VHS quality? Shoot 1080 or 720 sometime. a feature found on fairly low end cameras these days. i believe a 4GB card is 9 minutes of 720p.
thankfully, 16GB sdhc cards are ~$30 at newegg lately

Well, the bottom is made of glass for one......

they are wireless, but not wifi
They changed all our electricity meters (madison, WI) to wireless now. they just drive the truck by and read them all instantly.
I assume it would be getting popular elsewhere too. it would be fun if you could tap into that.....

a link you cant click on from the sms page, because iphones are a pain in the ass that way. "thanks"
I hope they leave little pads of paper and pencils around so you can actually /use/ it

big fat nubby human fingers are /great/ at pinching. Its an idea that only sounds bad on paper, in practice its quite useful.
DOS will not have any of the power management features required to operate a modern laptop. The hit to your battery life would be SEVERE
It says in the spore EULA that you /can/ transfer the license 'one time' to a new party.
that new party should then be bound by the license in full, and also be able to transfer it to a third party 'one time'

If one of your installs hadn't called back to EA within the past 10 or so days, then that install is credited back.
NOT the case. not even a little. its 3 activations period. ever. they are never returned.
your activation key is also locked to your spore.com login. so you cant even have two players on the same machine.
Are you aware that the spore mac version actually uses cider/transgamings version of wine? Securrom included!
hell, the PC cracked .exe even works for the mac version, im not sure if thats a good thing or not :P

did OBL ever think in his wildest dreams he'd be able to fuck us up this seriously?
uhhhhhh YES. wasnt this *exactly* his dream? to bankrupt the us via our own stupidity?
And dont ever forget it. 5th amendment rights are designed to protect the /innocent/ from bullshit like this.
People always assume its only for guilty people, when it was in fact designed for innocent people from day 1.
