Well if you search the forum, you'll see that I recommend an nvidia geforce 440 or above. I've used one in each of my boxens without issue for well over a year.
Instead of asking for advice on Slashdot, perhaps you should let your manager/boss know that you'd like to attend management school. Just my 2 cents...
How is KnoppMyth a pain in the ass to install? Did you check the forum out to see it someone else had the same problem(s) you had and how it was solved? Saying it was a pain in the ass without offering examples isn't saying much and does help future releases.
Safari is based on Konqueror, which is something the article should have pointed out. While the improvements(Konqueror) in 3.2 did come from Safari, a true story here is that Open Source works. Using this example corporations can see how they can benefit from OSS and how to give back.
Issues such as? Since I'm working on the next release it would be nice to know what those issues are. That way Dale and I can come up with a solution for them.
Then why not build it yourself with Mister House and MythTV? While I haven't used Mister House, it appears to have a great deal of built in functionality. If it doesn't have the functionality you seek, add it! It is Open Source! Then there is MythTV! Simply put MythTV rules! I recorded my favorites show, rip MY CDs, local weather at a glance and many more! My Myth boxen fits in my entertainment center and is connected to my surrond sound receiver, which sounds great!
Since 0.8 (0.9 was released a few days ago!), Myth has a separate front/backend! Record a show in your living room(or perhaps the basement) and watch it anywhere in your house(of course you'll need a frontend box attached to your TV or a computer running Linux)!
You're not kidding... I seems the quality of drives and media has gone down. I remember being in high school ('86-'90), I'd carry about floppies with me all year around (blistering heat of summer and bone chilling cold of winter in Chicago). I'd never have a problem with them, I'd hope from one computer to another with the media. Try that now days... The floppy will work in one drive but not the next... WTF?!
I use to work with a fellow that was working on something similar to the Roomba(I wonder if Roomba is the end result?). I saw it in action and it ran on Linux! This was several years ago. I've seen the commercials late at night recently and wondered if he was one of the persons behind Roomba. In the commerical, it is mentioned that the people/person behind Roomba attended to MIT, which he did attend(got his degree in EE).

Perhaps a new poll is in order.
Which will get released first?
XP SP2
Longhorn
Think Archer will tell him "I've been saving the galaxy before your grandfather was in diapers."?
R4 maybe dated but have you checked the site lately? R4V2 is out and R4V3 will be released this weekend.

I'm starting to feel left out.. Maybe I'll install Windows on a box and join the fun.
Yes... At least it loads up. But I'm stuck in the first room. It has been a while since I've played and AGI game, so I don't remember any commands.

And all this thinking is driving me mad.
