A photo of the robot is cool, but I really wanted to see a photo of the girl!

  2. Old news is sad news on Debris is Shuttle's Biggest Threat · · Score: 2, Insightful
I've been hearing about this since I was 15 (I'm 36 now) and come to think about it, when I read about it then it was some 15 year old Asimov!

It is just sad that humans smart enough to put objects in space are still not smart enough to not make a stinking mess out of everything. As the old saying goes "Don't shit where you live."

  4. Audio Hijack ROCKS! on AirPort Express Streaming Audio From Any Program · · Score: 1
Just as an unsolicited review, Audio Hijack has done more to improve the quality of my life than any program I have bought in the past 5 years. I drive a lot in my work, and those hours in the car can be pretty brutal. The good radio stations fade pretty quickly when you leave San Fran or LA, and not being a fan of Christian broadcasts or Mariachi music, the offerings on highway 5 are pretty dismal. I use Audio Hijack to record my favorite NPR radio shows, and before I leave I drop 20 or so hours worth onto my iPod. Life becomes bearable as I drive and drive and drive.

As a side note, I don't know why anyone would pay for a radio shark unless the radio they listen to is not streamed online. If it is, Audio Hijack fits the bill for a lot less money.

That is a hopeful thing to say considering it was the acting that made the last two so bad. You can't hear how badly someone says "princess. I love you" is a photo.

If I was going to make 20 robots, I sure wouldn't want to buy a MS license for each of them!

Is it journalism and free speech when you violate laws to obtain information? Ignorance of the law is no excuse..."

I guess we have nothing to discuss, except I might call you a pompous fool who should take the stick out of your ass.

Just because something is a law, doesn't make it write. There is a long history in this country of civil disobedience against unjust, unconstitutional, or wrongheaded laws. Just because corporate interest have the power to get laws like this passed, this does not make it right or constitutional.

  23. Re:Why? on Motorola Announces E1060 Phone With iTunes Support · · Score: 1

I'm with Quasar on this. Wanting separate devices that all work well does not make one a neophyte. It's not just phones that have this problem. If a great product comes out, buy two, because by the time your first one breaks, the latest model is going to have so many advanced features, that it is not going to be able to do what it was supposed to do in the first place. Answering machines are my favorite example of this phenomenon. The old ones that had cassette tapes in them, they were perfect. Now, the digital versions suck wind, and the old ones can't be bought for any price. I think the primary culprit is the NEW NEW NEW business cycle. A good product can NOT be left alone, it has to be improved and re-released as new every 15 minutes, and all of theses improvements" just kill.
