Thats the spirit. Every electric and electronic appliance should go for that goal. While the effort to finally get a cheap, clean and reliable source of energy is good, we must for once pay attention to nature and reduce power consuption to a minimum, that would buy us some time or being able to rely in smaller sources of energy like wind or solar pannels. Is not the same when people want credit and ownership for their ideas, so others wont come up with something better. For example there is a rumor that says Pasteur didnt discover the penicilium, some other guy did, do we know his/her name? are those facts in the history books?...we'll never know. One thing is for certain, if you have an idea that you dont want others to know, just dont tell anyone...or dont relase the source ;).

If we want to make OS software more succesful in the market, we have to come up with marketing schemes for it, they can be as important as good coding.

  16. Re:CHAOS on Hackers: The Art of Abstraction · · Score: 1

this can be translated to the very nature of the universe as entropy always is growing. It can be interpreted as chaos of matter. When you try to put some order to something(say boil a kettle or build a tower) you relase energy and increase entropy hence reducing the total order of particles. And with time, the tower will fall and the water will cool, rerelasing all the energy concentrated on it, in a chaotic way. For us, is not chaos what matters, is the order we create, to use, while it holds.
In a creative process you relase huge amounts of energy(sweat, blood, tears, other ideas, brainstorms, useless thoughts, etc) while putting some energy in an ordered form(your creation).

What i say is freedom of speech must be treated as such, freedom. Your freedom ends when it can harm the liberty of others, so if your freedom of speech is damaging other people, or even their privacy, you are not free to speak anymore.
And another thing, anonimacy has to be out of the question, because if you want to say something there is no reason for you to hide behind it...or is it?.

But when i think of people that can see that content and make something bad of it, free speech doesnt guarantee my freedom anymore, giving someone the blueprints for a car bomb.
If you want freedom of speech, you should be responsable for your speech, in other words, i think anything that is posted on a website, can be related to an identifiable person. Perhaps your fingerprint or something. This is too controversial anyway, so if im troll please ignore.
