I like it when the lame people disappear so only the serious are playing the games. Of course, it costing money helps, because chances are only the serious fans are going to pay to continue playing, and since they are paying, they are going to go the little extra to keep it going. hopefully.
It's wrong to invade a conversation by using another language, or noise type posts. But the internet is about everyone, so other then being rude, just have seperate forums for "English" "Portulgiese"(sp?), etc. I think there's enough room for everyone on the net.
I also think people have the right to have "english only" sections, "Spanish only" web sites, so on. Mainly on orkut, after all, it's about inviting friends...
man, I suck, didn't hit preview, hit stop too late, forgot to put this: http://www.sonicspot.com/totalrecorder/totalrecord er.html
that'll give you info about the total recorder program. I don't have any assoiciation with the product, I just find it useful, when you want to record something, and they make it hard too...
Personally, I think it's a good idea. It gives the students a chance to sample and listen to music through their computers. If they like it, then they can buy it. Of course, the smart ones will use programs that "crack" the drm, or a program that records the sound as it's playing (like Total Recorder http://files1.sonicspot.com/totalrecorder/totre301.exe )
yes, sorry I'm lazy and don't want to use a hrefs, but well, I'm lazy.
Man, the just figures, after searching, and hunting, and downloading numerious fakes, viruses, trojans, and god knows what else, I finally get a copy of the beta and it's being released.
Guess maybe I should take the time to find the Half Life 2 beta, then it will be released.
oh, and I bet that's why Duke Nuke'm Forever isn't coming out, it's beta never got leaked/stolen/hacked to the general public yet...
I had a 386-20mhz which was really a 16mhz chip. I also got it cheaper then a 386-20mhz so I was happy. Didn't know anything about overclocking back then, didn't realise what was possible, even though I was exposed to it. Funny part is, back then, every little mhz counted. Now, I know all about overclocking, but I have no desire to (until I start playing Farcry on my system) overclock, though it is fun trying to see how high of a 3dMark score you can get...
I noticed a lot of things in the movie, like how he kept running into stuff at school, before they were going with him back to being a nerd. I just thought that maybe it was 'cause his powers weren't working, but I don't know...
plus were is the great spider-man chatter during fights? He's a smart-ass yet he's was quiet.
Like in the train, when the people were helping him. I thought I was watching power rangers for a sec, because he didn't say anything, just kept nodding, and looking at people.
I notice that everyone who admits to not keeping up with windows updates are the ones to say that the updates (at least some of them) 'cause more problems anyways.
No, what's causing problems is people not applying all the critcal updates and keeping up current with antivirus and ad-aware (or whatever your flavor of the month is, but Ad-Aware seems to be the best...) spyware killing programs. I keep current, and I DO NOT get any infected. They try, yes, they try, but they fail.
Oh, y;es, and the main part of this, I haven't had any problems with any of the updates for either Windows 2000 or XP. The only people that have had problems seems to be who haven't installed the update to begin with... =)
Look. These are NOT called TV Tuners. They are Capture Cards that have a TV Tuner in them. There are Capture cards without TV Tuners, so what do you call those? Single-Line in Not Tuners?
I would think that the tech minded people of this site would be a little better then that. This whole article makes me feel like I'm dealing with people that don't know anything about the tech they are talking about.
Not to mention the links in the articles didn't survive a simple slashdotting.
Okay, now that I got the rant out, here's what I've dealt with:
I own a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-PCI card. for the most part, it sucks. it's not there mass produced card (the one with the 250 in the name is), so I have to use the software they provide with the drivers they provide because 3rd party software won't work with there drivers. Well, they programs capture like shit. Video is fine, audio is real, real bad. Luckly someone provides 3rd party drivers for that card and a whole slew of other cards. The drivers are tricky to set up, but i'm sure most people here (cept the posers and they guy who wrote and submitted this article) should be able to figure it out.
I also used a Ati All in wonder card (9600 varity), it's not too bad at all, actually. Didn't get to test out it's recording capabilities though (it wasn't my card), but I really like it's software.
I would personally probably buy an external one next time, because of the portability. But what I would actually rather have would be an external Capture device that had build in harddrive and networking capabilities (prefer line, but wireless might be okay). Possibly a Tivo like device that has network capabilities. Being able to manipulate what I recorded so I can archive it in whatever formats I want is necessary.
that's my little rant, I hope. sorry if it offends, but next time don't be so stupid.
I personally don't trust the police or even the "powers that rule" if you will. if they already have my dna, then hows it to prove they didn't plant it as evidence to begin with? Even though it would be easy to them to get some sort of dna off of me before hand, at least I would have that contact as some sort of evidence. if they already have my dna, well, there's nothing I could do.
and if you think profiling doesn't happen, that police don't have personally agendas, and even that police aren't human and capable of abusing they're power, then it just hasn't happen to you, yet.
I hope it doesn't, but unfortunelty, it does, and all to often.
Yes, I agree with you to a point. except you seem to be overlooking something. Sony knows that in order for you to use MP3 in a MP3 CD player, you need to rip and encode, or download the mp3's to begin with, and then burn it to the CD. That frameset isn't any different then storing it on harddrive/flashdisk. I don't think it matters what the medium is. Now as for then selling online, yes, I agree totally with you. They are resistant to that sort of change, seeing as it's embracing the selling single tracks and most the record labels wants to sell albums, not singles.
I don't think apple or itunes is why harddrive players have become popular, I just think apple/itunes is what brought that sort of medium to most the public attention.
I could be wrong, but I do recall reading that MS is addressing the fact that there is a short period during boot up between the network turning on and the firewall becoming active. It's supposed to be addressed in SP2.
I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR (unfortuntely it's not the mass produced 250 that works with more 3rd party software, though I found some other drivers that worked with 3rd party software), and it has free tv listings that I just click on and it records it automatticly. TitanTV was the name of the service, which is free.
You can just change your OS settings for the install. then change it back.
I think it was CloneCD that had some functions that were illegal in the US and some countries, so if you installed the software in those countries, some features would be disabled. So I'd just change my settings to that have The Netherlands and installed the software (all features enable) changed the setting back and still had access to all the features.
So go to the control panel and change the region settings, install the software, change them back and injoy.
In case it doesn't work when you change it back, then don't. you don't have to have the region settings and language/fonts match. so you can have the computer think it's in japan but using Italian if you like...
Another example of not knowing what you are talking about.
I have owned sony MP3 CD rom players for, like 3 years.
The reason that apple has done recently, is because it was the first small form factor harddrive based mp3 player and the fact that apple also has a store that you can get the music for it.
Exclusive games? That doesn't happen much anymore. Even Nintendo is thinking (or started to) produce their games on other systems.
Halo was and Xbox exclusive. Funny how its on the PC.
It used to be about owning the different consoles because of the exclusive games, but those days are past.
Xbox Next is going to be about the marriage of the PC and the Living room Media Center. and MS is trying to be the leader in this emerging area.
At least, that's my opinion.
...'I applaud Lindows efforts to create a user friendly Linux release, I wish that it was a free distribution that I could just make copies of and give out to people, with revenue coming from optional support, click n run subscriptions.'...
apparently version 4.5 is a free download only through bittorrent. I read that in a magazine article, i'm lookin for a link... here we go:
http://info.linspire.com/lindowslive/p2p.html
have fun...
MS is just mad because they haven't written the cluster software, thats why they are throwing $$$ at the trojan authors. They probably want to hire them.
=)

They been saying this, what, 3 years now? Sure it is.
you said"...Nevertheless, the stack is able to support an unlimited number of simultaneous TCP connections ..."
you might want to retype that statement after stating that here.
Wasn't up when I tried, a full day later...

TitanTV
after a quick search I realised the 2 most stupid things that usally gets asked didn't.
"Can it run linux?"
"Can you imagine a beowolf cluster of these?"
thanks
um, hey, look, the only reason I post stupid stuff like these is because I can't find a job.
So check my blog if you'd like to help...

it's not the "check if you want to always accept..." they need a "check if you NEVER want to install..." option.
I guess no one told you, your not supposed to have anything else running while you install the update.

Yes, but how can we trust what you say? What hasn't been mentioned is that the fungus has mental control of those in its radius.
