I wasn't aware that my ISP had a control panel. I know my webhost does (and also gives root access) but I didn't know that MSN, AOL, Cox, Comcast, Verizon, gave control panels for their customers.
In case you're too lazy to folow the link or read through the 518 entries he has, some of his notable characters:
Fred from Scooby Doo - and now that Messick has passed away, Scooby Doo as well. Boo Boo Bear from yogi Bear Jabberjaw Dynomutt All the other Gremlins and Mogwai that weren't Gizmo/Howie Mandel The following Transformers Blades/Buzzsaw/Chromedome/Frenzy/Galvatron/Groove/ Laserbeak/Megatron/Mirage/Mixmaster/Ratbat/Ravage/ Rumble/Skywarp/Sludge/Soundwave/Steeljaw/Superion Abu the Monkey from Aladdin Curious George...and I'm sure there are plenty more that mey strike a chord.
Mac- open box, take out and turn on, use Linux- install, reboot once, use.
As I type this I just realized that even Tier1 OEM vendors require at least 1 reboot for XP. I just setup a HP/Compaq a few weeks ago and it required a reboot.
The Key you used is an OEM key and you should have used your retail key. Tier1 vendors get a key/image that doesn't require activation.
Still pointless that you paid extra money for another XP license while you should have used the original OEM license and spend the time removing the OEM crap instead of reinstalling again.
I think the key in VHS vs. Beta was that VHS tapes were available in 2/4/6 hour lengths where Beta was sold as L-250/500/750 (I think) lengths, something that Joe Sixpack couldn't understand. Dynasty was a 1 hour show and one could fit 6 episodes on 1 tape for VHS.
All they knew was that 6 hours was longer than L-750, or at least sounded like it.
I have CD's from the 80's that are still usable. I dont' know what type of audio CD's you buy but none of mine have degraded.
I also have cheap, the cheapest CD-Rs from 1998 that I can still use. That's not to say that I have experienced CD-Rs that have failed after a year or so.
I can agree with you but there are the employees that do have a primadonna attitude and won't go the extra mile to understand the real problem nor get to the root of it.
In some cases, as long as the contract as expired, it's just easier to quit the service. In my case, I've been with T-Mobile and never had a real problem. Soon, I will have to cancel as they don't provide service in my new area and my only choice is Cingular. So in a sense, Cingular has the monopoly in my new area.
Obviously your paycheck is form Redmond. Free Kool-aid (or was it flavor-aid?) and they brought the towels back in the gym.
It was really nice to see Microsoft try to copy Google Maps when they should have done it first a long time ago - say 1999. The thing why I can't stand to use the Live maps or whatever they call it (because Microsoft always confuses the end user) it that crappy zoom feature.
And when has Microsoft realy innovated? Let's say DDR for spam removal. I'm waiting for copycat companies to copy that one.
My comment was tongue in cheek, not flameworthy. Obviously MS fanboys think otherwise.
The law is stupid and is greedy for local politicians in nature. How the hell is locking up someone for gambling gonna make me safer? If you want to look at the logistics of it, who is responsible for gambling content information on the internet in regards to Washington state?
With their logic, they're going to have to arrest all the ISPs for providing it to the home.
So you're implying that the beast of Redmond may be a supporter of this bill? This could be yet another legal tie to drain the resources of a competitor.
Wouldn't the local routers be at fault though for supplying gambling links via Google? Wouldn't the end user be at fault for submitting a gambling query that should lock up that user in prison because he is, afterall, a threat to MY safety because he gambles.:-)
I know Access at least did store images as soon as 5 years ago. The problem with Access then was that 1Gig was the max limit for the DB size and we hit it often only to convert to MSSQL and use Access as the front end.
A friend of mine bought a Beta II machine in 1980 for ~2000$US. Complete with a wired remote for pausing video (for skipping commercials) When it looked like VHS was winning the format war around 1983/4, I bought my JVC VHS for ~500$US and that had a wireless (IR) remote and programmable timer that you had to tune one of the 13 available tuners to. My first CD player, 1985 ~150$US.
I paid ~200$US for a HiFi VCR from Samsung in 1992. First DVD player for computer was ~110$US and that came with the Hollywod Plus decoder card in 1998. Console DVD player in 2000 for ~200$US.
I'll wait until one of the formats has a player under $100. 720p is fine for now.
No different from any top supermodel fashion show. Those clothing wares aren't for public consumption, just for show to showcase what the designers can do.
Kinda like the planet Krypton. Meanwhile while the top scientists are trying to get people off the planet, the elected elders will just simply say "The planet is just shifting it's orbit. Do not leave or you will be jailed." So since by that time, space travel will be privatized, there will be space kids ejected in homemade space ships out to other planets because of the bureaucracy .
Like freaking Sea Monkies.
I've lived in the southeast and I thought they had mosquitos bad but it sounds like the midnorth has it worst.
I believe that they still use pencils in space.

Looks like some sort of time shift thingy to me.
I'll take Frank Welker over Tom Hanks any day.

I've had this issue with Hotmail and AOL users. Once I put in the SPF record in the DNS, all mail went through.

Have you guys looked at the Nostalgia style?
Definitely a stroll down memory lane if you were into computers in the 80s.
You're missing the whole Chairface Chippendale reference.

Just add some prices for reference:

Since when does any certification mean anything when it concerns Microsoft?
I bought a tiny plot of land in Otisburg.
