Oi, Sharkbait isn't odd... I also don't think he did anything wrong except not telling DS1 why he was there. *shrug* I DO think that CCP devs are cheating, or should I said BoB members who happen to work for CCP are cheating. Dianabolic admitted to having MSN chats with Devs, when I have a problem I have to petition it.:-/
I certainly don't think every member of BoB is a cheating bastard, but the leadership sure as hell are.
The Goons shouldn't have spammed the forums but by and large I like them better.
I always get my rebates, my dad NEVER gets one. The last time I bought anything from them my father and I both bought monitors, *I* filled out both rebates and mailed them in (different names, addresses, envelopes) and I got my rebate (4 months later... bastards) and he never did. I checked their online tracking and they said he had a rebate coming, then one day it said there was no rebate with that #. He refuses to shop there anymore and I tend to agree with him.
Remember when it was 4-8 weeks for a rebate? Last time I looked it was up to 10-12 weeks.
Except EP1 Racer was made to use the expansion pack IF IT WAS THERE, so the parent is correct.
My neices have an N64 would memory pak and EP1 Racer that I got them so I know.
I suppose so, it's not what *I* would call someone an asshole for but I guess some would.
I personally think it would be used for stuff like "teabagging" your dead enemy in Halo 2 or spawn raping in MA2 but I'm sure someone would abuse the system.
I play Mechassault 2 several times a week... they REALLY need to add to the reasons you can report someone. Teamkilling isn't cheating, it's not screaming, it's not cussing (but often engenders such) and it's not lewd or naughty, but it's damned sure irritating and makes the game a pain in the ass instead of fun.
But then, I think they need to add "asshole" to the reporting system too... too many annoying people out there (and not all of them are kids)
I worked for several years as the office manager for a Medical Transcription service, I have several friends that are Medical Doctors and my girlfriend is in pre-med. I've seen the antibiotics flow like water around here where more and more people get drug resistant bugs every year.
If the Doctors would stop handing out antibiotics like it were candy (and the people would take them correctly! No more "I feel better so I'll SAVE the last three doses" crap) we wouldn't have a drug resistance problem in the first place.
I am SOOO on the wrong website.. first thing I thought of was what sexual favors can I get out of this from the hot daughter of the VP of Finanace for fixing her laptop. *sigh*
We just use old server cases and fill them with drives, a couple power supplies (some of those drives suck up POWER lemme tell ya) and then throw a NIC in to get to them all.
Mind you, there's no RAID that way... we recently started messing with RAID in small ways and I like it, we will eventually start putting RAID controllers into the boxes and mirroring our setups.
I've got a good friend that is the leading eye Doctor in his state, I would trust him to do this... and anyone he recommended, but nobody else. My eyes way too important to let some hack go messing with them. One bit of advise from my friend, if you smell bacon tell the Doc to turn the laser down some, he's burning your eye. (Yum, now I'm hungry for bacon and eggs)
I would be happy to give you an intro to my friend, maybe he can recommend someone in your local area.
I looked at JetDirect cards, they are expensive. I guess I'll end up going with a Linksys solution, they have something that will plug into the parallel port that has a RJ-45 port at the other end so I can plug it into my network. Looking around Ebay a JetDirect would run me over $100, 16 Megs of RAM would run about 20 bucks (which isn't bad I guess)
I have a Laserjet 2100 at home, bought it from a company I was working for when they went out of business. I've had it for 2 years and as infrequently as I print things I never have had to get a new toner for it (though I'm close to due). My girlfriend has used it quite a lot for reports and projects relating to her college work. What I need to find for it now is a network setup so I can reboot my windows machine when she's printing stuff and not worry about her print job being ganked up (and more memory would be nice but not critical)
For color stuff we usually use Kinkos or Copy Co. because they have better color printers than I can afford and it's not all that expensive.
Yeah, great... now if I'd just quit getting "Deferring communication with project for 6 days, 22 hours, 49 minutes, and 37 seconds". I have 6 work units ready to return and I can't get them back because the server won't talk to me.
Maybe this explains the sudden upswing in obesity... genetic programming from our Galactic Overlords starts the fattening up cycle in preperation for their return to the feed lot!
Who said we're a new species? I think they were saying we're a mutation of an existing line rather than a new line, but then, I'm evolved from a brain damaged, immature ape so what do I know.
Yum, bananas
You said: Cyclists don't test positive mostly because they do their steroids in the off season and they know how to cheat, or they have lawyers who do.
Except they are tested even during the off season! UCI rules mandate random YEAR ROUND drug tests. Lance is also tested far more than he should be for "random" tests.
Lance Armstrong had TESTICULAR cancer, not prostate cancer. He's also the MOST tested athlete on the entire planet and has not ever, not even once, tested postitive for drugs of any sort.
You want to know how he does it? Read his book, read interviews... he does it because he's the most stubborn human out there, someone tells him he can't free climb Mt. Rushmore and he'll go do it just to prove them wrong.
Dammit... meant to hit preview. Sorry... my contribution was...
Actually, the prohibition from using an SSN as a "universal identifier" is only applicable to Government entities, not private companies. Even that prohibition has been loosened over time by policy changes. I don't like it any more than you do but the idea that it's somehow illegal for THEM to use your SSN as an ID # is false.

One of the big objections to the creation of the Social Security System was that the SS# would serve as a universal identifier, making it easier to assemble dossiers of individuals from diverse public records. This almost killed the program - which was eventually passed on the promise (among others) that the nubmer would NEVER EVER EVER be used in that way.

I don't think that's correct... I have the patch that adds Yavin Station and some other stuff to KOTOR, which is not an online playable game so how could the patch affect online play?

Well Mr. UID 29999! :)
Make that "N64 *WITH* memory pak" please. I tried to change it but was too quick on the submit button. *sigh*

Equating poaching with antibiotics is really wrong... but I agree that indiscriminate use of antibiotics is a bad thing.

Since when has THAT mattered!!

I loved the movie, I've loved the series, I even liked the books... I'll be sitting in front of the idiot box tomorrow night.
