During the introduction of Tiger to the public, Steve Jobs actually showed a movie to the crowd stating that "this is what we are dealing with" followed by a tiger moving around in the jungle. He then went on to "And this is what the competition is playing around with" showing a big longhorned cow. Hilarious!
Ah, but a natural evolution would increase a plants fitness and make it a better survivor. Im pretty sure that this mechanism only works on certain alleles. (Spelling?) And second of all, you never know when this mechanism has 'mutated' into existence.. After all, the plants had to develop into, well, plants, at some point in history.:)
Thx for informing me! But in my eyes its pretty pointless.. At some point your PlayStation XX has enough power to decrypt it in a few minutes, so why dont they just wait a few years, and then 'retire' the encryption?
Even Apple, with their much vaunted G-chips have to emulate the x86 hardware so that users can run their Windows programs.
You sure must be smoking crack or something! Apple has been using Power-PC chips the last almost 10 years! The Cell chip is supposedly based on PPC technologies, so Apple is actually one of the companies that might actually benefit greatly from this chip!
An expert on NPR yesterday referred to the fact that escaping a hurricane and escaping a tsunami are quite different. To get out of the path of a hurricane, you often need to travel hundreds of miles. To get out of the destructive range of a tsunami, just going a few miles can get you far enough inland to avoid the damage... But, you can get hit by a tree when in a Hurricane = 2x the danger!
I can't speak for anyone at Apple, but it's clear that the command line isn't an alternative interface to operate a Macintosh.
You don't see any traces of a command line when the system does system checks at startup or when users log in to their accounts. Maybe not, but your certainly can by holding down a few buttons at startup.
Solarian II (STILL my favorite. Write Ben Hall and help me pester him into porting it to OS X, he's told me he wants to if only for fun, but never gets around to it. I think it does run under Classic)
Solarian II is out for OSX and has been for ~2 months now!:)
IE? Free? Since when? Just because it comes with the OS (which, might I add, you pay $$$ for) doesn't mean it's free.
Furthermore, what about all the adware, spyware (and for some, viruses) that people have to clear off their harddrive? That takes time, and, "Time is money." And with all the time I've spent doing that with IE..., let's just say with IE, you won't have any "Free time" IMO that was a stupid remark. Then 99,9% of all software (Even Freeware!) isnt free! It requires you to buy an operating system... And yes, Linux is free, but hey, you still need to buy the computer!
Hey, mom my gave me this computer for free and it runs Linux! Good for you, you are part of the last 0,1% 'free' software on the planet.
Is this the same DOOM III game that John Carmack went on stage at MacWorld to present a few years ago, saying that would be out for the Mac, first? He never said anything about the game being out on the mac first. It was merely shown running on the mac before PC! you might be mistaken by the fact that nVidia announced the GeForce3 at the same Macworld, and stated that it would ship first on the macintosh. That we got the card about 1-2 months after the PC platform when it first shipped, thats a whole other story...
Because it's compiled that way?
We're gonna know for sure when it hits the shelves (of our favorite torrent trackers). It probably has something to do with the FSB bandwith. G4's has 166Mhz at the most, G5's has 600 Mhz at the least. Not 64 bit.
So this means they were wearing either army fatigues or a shirt with glasses. I fail to see how that's related specifically to CS, unless they went around screaming out "fire in the hole" and "it's gonna blow!".
Let's just be glad for the fact that they didnt screamed 'ULTRA KILL!!!'.
Unfortunately it IS tomorrow for me! These has been posted April 2. in Europe... :/

Someone please fill me in; What are the advances in breaking a security algorithm if you arent a bad guy trying to steal something?
I havent seen a single pop-up yet.
:P
That has to mean one thing: The author of that article is watching pr0n sites!
How about the POWER processor? Im pretty damn sure its multicore, and thats a PPC.
Even Apple, with their much vaunted G-chips have to emulate the x86 hardware so that users can run their Windows programs.

Apple making Windows programs only... PffftT!

Paid beta is a PERMANENT condition in MMORPGs. You should nkow that by now ;)
You tell that to Blizzard!
I for one submit to our new MS Internet overlords.
I can't imagine how badly Lucas is going to mess up how Anakin becomes Darth Vader. Maybe replace his light saber with a walkie talkie?
*SPOILER!* Actually, it turns out that Darth Vader is in fact Amidalla, thats why she disappears! (She's shaved her head in VI)
