not you listen to those other guys.
they is all dicks
thot I you post was fectperly standerundable.
actually I am only kidding. I mean take it easy on him guys, maybe english isn't his first language.
rights he english more better I than right MY second language.
is this a joke? I have carried a cell phone for years and I have never experienced anything like what you describe. sore muscles? Are you sure thats not just the "charlie horse" effect of having your tight jeans push that antenna into your flesh?
it is my understanding that the reason microwave ovens work is that they operate at some sort of resonant frequency of the water molecules. I don't think it is RF in general. granted this was from a high school chemistry class so it may be oversimplified.
after asking the god of the internet why he is doing this... he said because ICANN.
This is yet another sad example of ICANN simply trying to make more money and not really trying to do whats right for the internet. I am sick of them. The original TLD's aren't even used properly in the first place. complicating the system with new ones wont fix anything.
I do like the idea of having one available for those sites who plan to provide mobile phone content. As it is you never know what sites will load on your phone until you try. I end up using google as a proxy for all my mobile phone browsing to avoid the endless string of error messages.
I just feel that the.jobs thing is dumber than dumb. there are only a few sites out there that would really benefit from this and most of them will stick to their.com addies anyhow.
I am surprised that you can sell "FREE"anything in china. seems to go against the country's whole style. Maybe there is a market for redDOS... a new os with an extremely oppressive license. excuse me while I contact my patent lawer.
I use linux so I am pretty safe for now adware wise., but this is really getting out of hand. I just thank god I don't have to do tech support on windows these days. what a nightmare for those who do.
for a while people kept telling me to go to http://stopfcc.com/... I am curious what the slashdot opinion of this is. I mean are these guys legit? can online petitions really change anything? for whatever it's worth I signed... but it seems like a hopeless effort.
Bush did something I agree with. My jaw just hit the floor.
oh god I can't read anymore

Embedded Gentoo?
·
· Score: 1, Interesting
I made the mistake of reading through the comments on this story. So far I have read the same compiling jokes as always... har har. Then I read the usual gentoo bashing comments... *rolls eyes* then I read I disturbing number of people defending gentoo with arguments that make no sense. I love gentoo. please please please to all you other gentooers dont make us look so dumb.
First I see the usual comments about how it makes no sense to use gentoo for embedded stuff because you don't need package management. Then I see the people defending gentoo for the blah blah features that make no difference for embedded devices.
Some developers will find this usefull others, will not. Some hobby geeks will compile x on an ipaq for fun, but normal people will cross compile on another machine.
The REAL advantage here is that somebody who is really good with portage will be able to dev complete systems for the embedded device very quickly and easily. The advantage here is completely different than the advantages gentoo on the desktop gives. The developer will (eventually) be able to wip up systems with a few commands rather than carefully assembling the parts, sounds like a good thing right? thought so.
you know sometimes I get these funny images in my head. when I read this headline I had to picture a combination of two movie scenes. the first would be when they open the ark in indiana jones and the lost ark. the second would be the ghostbusters II scene when the Scoleri brothers come back for the judge.
as in:
judge breaks the seal,
evil spirits fly around the room causing peoples faces to melt, but then turning into a ghostly darl in the electric chair. The judge looks scared and says NO... not Darl SCOleri!!! I gave him the chair years ago! (judge's face melts from the evil influence of darl).
*sniff*... sorry I just get a little emotional at the notion of darl getting the electric chair.
I don't have time for side jobs. I am an IT guy so I am too busy working fast food like jobs trying to keep my bills payed. The only free time I have I spend complaining about how there "are no IT jobs available" so I have no time for these so called side jobs
You know, I wish people would quit twizzling up organizations like this and just write some code.
OTOH if these guys figure out how to make some money off open source I guess thats not all bad. I wish I could be working for a company that was making money that way.
actually I frequently emerge sync; emerge -uD world
but it is tricky getting your box set up to handle that. I am running with all experimental packages unmasked as well. the trick is to just mask any packages that break and finish the emerge -uD world. otherwise you are right you will end up with a broken box.

I like those odds. just enough of a chance to make life exciting, but still prolly won't happen.
so many more ways to communicate road rage now. I won't have to roll down the window when its cold anymore.

thats because this is something we can DO SOMETHING ABOUT. we can't fix that other software.

now THAT is funny.
I hope they make one shaped like this: http://www.keebler.com/family/cookies/elfudge.jsp I guess that consumers are just not into the healthy fruit flavors anymore. They wanted something tastier.

Have you ever watched a football game, where you hated both teams so much you wanted them both to lose?
