'I know a lot of people are concerned about Big Brother, but my response to that is, if you are not doing anything wrong, why should you worry about it?'
Spoken like somebody who has never truly read Orwell.
Can any/. 360 users confirm whether the old controller will work in the new console when fitted with a USB plug? I've heard good things about it's USB capabilities, but nowhere has been implicit about this.
Hooray, I'll be able to play my favourite games on the 360. But what about my goddamned controllers? I'm not particularly enthused over the idea of buying another 3 controllers (at least one of which will be wireless, unless the 360 is happy with hubs) so I can play some 2v2 Slayer.
I think this would be a great idea. Hell, we could get an x86 port going and then we'd have some real fun! An OS designed for early 90s machines running on my AMD64? Go for it! Linux is a little slow for my liking;)
I think you're on a hiding to nothing. I'm under the impression that Halo 1 was only released for anything other than the XB because Bungie is an old Mac studio when Halo was under development.
Considering how much it pisses me off when a power outage severs me from my data and services, I don't really want to rely on any other outside connection for my machine to run.
Y'know, when I saw the "bandiwdth exceeded" page, I was pretty much cursing/.... but now I'm connected to the best torrent I ever have been! There were, what, at least a bajillion peers?

But my hat only works on my head!
Curse you!
where, you know, real people have to actually want to buy the stuff you design or you're out of a job...
Real people buy stuff like this? Cause it seems that's what happens to fashion designers get jobs.
What was it before?
Google Kills Godzilla!!
I'm under the impression that they flashed it for 50ms and then gave the volunteers time to rate it.
Surely listing the cache right there in the article is just going to get coral's servers fragged as well?
Early would have been before the original flawed release, surely?
How many music services does MS have now? 3? Or is that just me?

Damn, that's good news! Original XB controllers for all!

I think the "patch it to break it" was more on the lines of "patch our closed-source server to break the usability of the open source client".

It's also worth noting that Mozilla's popularity has boomed recently. More people means more bugs found, surely?
Valve have incorporated betting into CS matches?!
When I read articles like this I think to myself "Yup, they really don't have a clue why it works like that."
You're trying to tell me any sport-based game was ever fun?
Once the colonists have started producing these gases, what's going to stop them?
Cue the "let's not mess up another planet" argument.

No really, I really need more "news" articles from /. about how, woe, the end of the floppy is nigh!
With the number of security holes it's bound to introduce, may as well call it "Anybodys Computer".
