No, but attempting to steal credit card numbers is a crime.

If you walk into a bank and attempt to rob the place but someone bigger than you [I'd guess anyone over 5'3" would qualify] takes you down, you're still committed a crime. Just because you aren't a success does not mean you aren't going to get punished.

Honestly, the logic behind your comment is so dumb that it's sad. Don't try to nitpick your way into looking intelligent - you're failing miserably.

I read gaming magazines. I have subscriptions to both GMR and PC Gaming. While the information may be out of date, it is not like we are talking about stock prices here. A review of a game in a magazine versus a review of a game on the Internet is going to convey the same information - who cares if I have to wait a few weeks to read it? There is a case to be made for being able to drop a deuce and read some game reviews.

Also, I've found that GMR - due to their partnership with EB - had coupons that were occassionally useful at EB. So I got the subscription to GMR, plus the 10% off pre-owned games at EB, plus coupons that I've used to save over $20 this year, for a grand total of something like 10 bucks. So that makes a pretty good case for GMR.

Another point is that the Internet is the best place to get up to date false gaming news. Furthermore, when one reads a gaming magazine, you know that the magazine is paying those reviewers. When I look at some gaming website, I don't know which reviews are astroturf by the company [if they allow user-submitted reviews] and which reviews are heavily influenced by the fact that the owner of the site is trying to get in good with some companies so that they can score some free stuff - i.e. it's a hobby site that the author is not getting paid for and therefore, he'd like to see some type of return. Granted, reviewers in printed material can also be bribed but I feel a little bit safer knowing that they are getting a salary, regardless if they're also being sent Halo 2 action figures.

    So it is just entertainment?

"Needless to say, whatever the point of the film, it supports my contention that the film cannot be seen as "merely" entertainment."
Aren't you contradicting yourself? First you said that Team America was just entertainment and then had some thought that sort of trailed off. Did you instead mean to say that while to a casual observer, Team America would be viewed as casual entertainment - the truth of the matter is that it is not just entertainment? If that is what you meant in the original post, your ability to share your thoughts with others needs quite a bit of work.

Now - if you don't think Team America offers support from the middle, think about this: In the movie, you see the destruction of the Eiffel Tower, etc. This obviously portrays certain ultra-militaristic views in a negative light. On the other hand, the Film Actors Guild parody obviously portrays the extreme left in a negative light. Now, where can it be found that there is support for a balance in between? As I said, the pussies, dicks, assholes monologue.

"We're dicks! We're reckless, arrogant, stupid dicks. And the Film Actors Guild are pussies. And Kim Jong Il is an asshole. Pussies don't like dicks because pussies get fucked by dicks. But dicks also fuck assholes - assholes that just want to shit on everything. Pussies may think they can deal with assholes their way but the only thing that can fuck an asshole is a dick, with some balls. The problem with dicks is they fuck too much or fuck when it isn't appropriate. And it takes a pussy to show them that. But sometimes pussies can be so full of shit that they become assholes themselves. Because pussies are an inch and a half away from assholes. I don't know much about this crazy world, but I do know this; If you don't let us fuck this asshole we're going to have our dicks and pussies all covered in shit."
Now, you see that the underlying point of that monologue is that certain behaviors supported by the right must be taken while the temperance offered by some on the left can be a good thing. I'll appreciate it if you can be a bit more clear and concise with any future posts you make. Thank you.

Don't have everyone join the same city - have a lobby where players team up and go on missions together. Sure, you don't have the single player missions enabled but multiplayer missions are possible. Of course, it would really add quite a bit of work to GTA and it might be wise to release the standard single player GTA separate from the online GTA so neither suffers from lack of attention.

I think that one telling sign in how the DS is going to do, out of the gate, is that some retail shops have stopped taking preorders for the DS due to demand. I don't think the Virtual Boy ever generated that kind of buzz. I also think that the DS may be a popular sell because it is backwards compatible and thus, people can trade in their GBA systems for credit towards a DS.

Finally, no one can be entirely sure who is going to win the market or whether there will be a clear cut winner. But I wouldn't bet against Mario.

Please, if you don't know a thing about the video game industry perhaps you should not be making definitive statements that you're sure MS is going to sue over this. "That the electoral college is nondemocratic and controversial is hardly news. But the winning party never wants to rock the boat, since it's the one that got them there. Thus having both parties get burned by it in succession might be the one thing that would actually promote debate."
I never questioned this assertion so why are you repeating it?

"Although a tie would mean it would go to the legislature, and therefore be a Bush win, that would hardly be a satisfying or decisive victory, now would it? Of course this is a man who lost the popular vote and had to settle for a supreme court vote to guarantee his electoral margin once already, and still governed as though he had a mandate, so failing to win a majority of electoral votes would hardly cause him to lose sleep. Who needs a mandate from the election when you're chosen by God, eh?"
But your premise is that by both parties getting "burned" [such quaint language you use], the Electoral College would be done away with. Therefore, if there was a tie, the Republicans would not have gotten "burned" and thus, the Electoral College would remain, by your own theoretical construct.

"While certainly did insult Dubya, it is unrelated to the issue of electoral reform. As for GWB's imbecility, I hold that truth to be self evident. The relative contributions of the booze, the coke, the cronies, and the church to that is a matter of debate."
It does not matter if your insults are related to the issue you are discussing - you are including rude and, by your own admission, unrelated remarks in your discussion. This is not an intelligent way to discuss any point. I would have replied to you with my own thoughts on electoral reform but see no reason to do so on someone who can't get through a simple post without making a snide remark about the President of the U.S. being an imbecile. And you continue to bring up unrelated issues in your second insult of the President. Honestly, people need to learn how to debate with respect for the other side of the issue and those on it. Nowhere in any of my posts did I attack any Democrat, you, or self-described liberals. Yet you can't seem to make a single post without insulting someone. Can you understand why this is not going to get your cause very far?
