  1. Farming CO2 emissions on White House Explains Transport-Energy Future · · Score: 1

Do I know exact numbers? No,

Question: how is this not getting addressed at all, ever, and how is transportation energy/cost/pollution always taking the publicity? Is it because the above facts are not facts/true, or is it because of something else, like politics/lobbying/etc?

To answer your question: all the graphical hacking/cracking scenes in Hackers, Swordfish, and the mentioned Independence Day are some of the lamest I seem to remember.

Even though I am a William Gibson fan, I would add Johnny Mnemonic's final hacking scene, with the digital Johnny copying himself, while swimming along the dolphin (Jones) in the matrix. While it depicted a virtual world that might exists at one point, the "hacking" would probably go a different route even in graphical/avatar UIs of the future.

A game that I remember playing for LONG, and left a good impression was the last MGS ... took forever to beat, and I was lucky enough and had time to play it.

Also look at Japanese titles. The guys over there must like challenge, and some of the games are just unplayably hard. Then again, this is from 6 years ago when I had the chance to try a bunch of import games. BTW MGS is a Japanese title .... that explains the full DL-Blue Ray disk and the length of the game.

I got around the docking like this ; at the office I just use a cable.. no problem with that.

At home I dock the phone into an ihome to charge. Since we have a 3gs, a 2G, ipod mini, ipod nano I simply removed the dock adapter, so anything fits in there now. Since the ihome is on a tall piece of furniture, there is no accidental hitting, that might damage the phone or the docking. You have to dock it carefully, but it works fine.

Not sure what cases are there for the 4, I am not planning on a new phone for at least 2 years.... In reality I make 3-5 calls a week, so it is more like a gadget for me than an actual phone.

I know people who copy-paste large amount of code and then try to do simple things, then they are stuck because they do not understand what they used. They use the visual editors and jump into OOP without knowing the basics. That is what you can accomplish to run at a complex CMS without knowing the basics.

PHP is a good choice for web, but if you want to learn how to write a threaded application, a tcp server or client, and in fact anything that would run on a server or desktop, PERL or even C would be a better choice to learn.

Either way, when it comes to spamming, the linked domain is mostly a throw-away one, and that is not even the problem. The problem is, the IP that sends the mail. Machine hosted in the US, port 80 for the legit site (after the spam "promo site") is a US IP, the spam goes out from Romanian IPs, and the throw-away address points there too.
